I'm headed to Dayton for a week, and will arrive Sunday morning.

A) Will they show the game?

B) If not, where can I go?

C) What else is there to do?

Don't leave without visiting the Air Force Museum! You can't see it all in one day, but you can try!
What do you like to do? There is plenty of shopping, theatres, night clubs etc. Minor League baseball perhaps?

What part of Dayton are you coming to and I may be able to point you to a place to watch the game?

The game is locally televised on channel 7 in this area this week. If not just about any sports bar, Fricker's, BW3's or Cadillac Jacks will have the game as well as pretty much any other local dive in the area, so you should have no trouble seeing the game.

Like OnB said, visit AF museum. Not too much to do around here, but that's one thing I would do. As for the game Sunday, I know alot of posters here go to Taggarts in Kettering, but I've never been there. It will be on locally, on channel 7, but if you are looking to go somewhere, I'd go to Bunkers in Vandalia. It's about a mile off I-75.

I'll try to think of a few more things, but there's not much to do around here.

All the dives in all the world, you send him to Bunkers, do they serve underage or what?? Might as well stop at the Balloon! Just teasing. I prefer Oscars or Stubbies if I'm north of town.

I wish 'somebody' would give us some hints...

ha. I don't hate it, just wasn't spectacular. Probably because I always got woke up and called up there at closing to pick up my drunk friends in my pajamas. I don't miss those random tuesday nights at all.
There used to be tons of bars I loved, but I got kicked out of most of them.

Hey Buck, me talking about the Flyers would occupy about 45 seconds... lol! I don't follow them...

Thanks for the input. I'll be staying in Miamisburg. Anything near there?

Depending on what part of the 'Burg (my hometown), I hear Ron's Pizza on Main Street has a big game day party.

Not sure how many people you're traveling with, but The Melting Pot just opened down there. Costs about 60 bucks a person, but it's soooo worth it.

Dayton Mall for shopping, all kinds of restraunts down in that area.

LaComedi is a dinner theatre, never been but heard great things.

They just moved the comedy club, so if you want that kind of entertainment you'll need to go north on 675 to "Funny Bone" at "The Greene" on Indian Ripple.

If you head 75 north to Downtown Dayton(10-15 minutes), you have some nice dance clubs. Foundry, Pearl, and Hammerjax is the best... all walking distance from eachother. Or stay in the burg for Yellow Rose and ride the bull!
There is also a "gentleman's club" in the burg that you don't need a membership for, can't remember the name.

I would recommend getting a GPS if you don't have one, lots of construction going on. If you want, I can PM my number to you to help you out, your decicion.

My personal opition is stay away from Dark Horse Tavern and the Rusty Bucket.

lol thanks, but all I know is Dayton and it's not a very desirable desination!

What else do you like? We have an art museum, and lots of nice parks. Not sure what you're into.

You've been more than helpful. I appreciate all the suggestions. I have no idea what I'll end up doing...but it's good to know some options. Thanks!

Dayton got crushed by the storm!

There are trees everywhere. I didn't realize that Dayton had so much foliage. Everywhere I look, trees. Not that that's a bad thing,

Anyway, I've spent most of my time in Miamisburg, haven't been to any real parts of Dayton, but nonetheless, it seems to be a pretty nice town...stuck in the middle of a forest!
