Without a horse in the race, the MLB playoffs really just dont have the same appeal.

However, there are a few storylines that do create some interest. Joe Torre and ManRam together, CC and the Brew Crew, the cursed Cubs, Griffey Jr back in the playoffs, the Rays, can the Red Sox repeat. So who do you want to win and who do you think will actually win?

I only picked the Rays because I love when a pro team with one of the lowest payrolls wins.

I agree and chose them as who I would like to see win as well.

I think the Angels are going to come out on top however.

I'm pulling for the Rays, but I think the Angels probably are the best team in baseball right now.

I voted that I hope that the Rays win, what a story that would be. But I keep that bad thought that Boston's going to win.

Well, I'm a Red Sox fan, so obviously I hope they win. But, I think this might be the Rays year.

I want to see the former Indians stick it the Red Sox,....

Dodgers.

They may have the upper hand in the bullpen.

New year. New team. Same results.

He's an ace all year long, then just folds when the pressure of the playoffs are on.

Ought to give the Steinbrenners some concern, do you really want CC and ARod on the same team.

Yea, you might win 120 regular season games then get swept in the playoffs.

He was drafted out of high school so no college stats but I was able to dig up his senior stats:

Attended Vallejo Senior High School where he compiled a mark of 6-0 with a 0.77 ERA (46.2IP, 14H, 4ER, 14BB, 82SO) during his senior season

Thanks for digging,...what did they do in the playoffs, i.e. did he choke it up then ?? Like now,...

Anyway,...congrats to Red Sox fans, a really nice display of great baseball last night. Scioscia was an idiot to try the squeeze with only one out. Shipdit.

Almost makes you want to see Manny go back to Boston,....

I think the Rays will be in trouble, only from the viewpoint of experience. The Dodgers and the Phillies is a tossup.

Whoops! Guess I forgot that the Red Sox OWN the Angels in the post season.

Go RAYS!

Hey, at least you had the good karma to show a sense of humor by picking on yourself,.... (I too thought the Angels had "it" this year,...)

Bumping,...

Well, my Dodgers are done,...how about a push now for Charlie Manuel to get him a ring,....??

Tampa Bay looks like the Reds of old, hitting-wise.

If they get there, looks like a good Series. Maybe not good for ratings, but I really care about that,...

with the Phillies and Rays, there is a lot of great young talent... guys who'll be stars for the next decade. Ratings will be low, but these are the guys who in 5-10 years from now will be drawing big ratings for the yankees and red sox in future playoffs

Im going to pull for the Phillies, dont want to see another expansion team win it all before the Tribe.

Its good to see it happen to someone else this time. I cant decide if this was more reminiscent of 2007 ALCS or that ALDS from the 90's that cost Grover his job.

This Rays team is better (stronger) than last year's Tribe. IMHO
