I was a DawgTalker on the old website for about 2 years but then got stuck with its Brownschat garbage replacement. From people's profiles I can see that this site was put up around september. I would have never known about his site if someone didnt post a link about it when another user asked where Toad was these days. Im looking forward to intelligent conversations again. The amount of users on the other board who would create a name just to bash the Browns for a post was getting rediculous. I love this board all ready with its original dawgtalker look.
Whos Idea was it to create a new board? Who made it happen? Who do I owe great thanks to?
You must have been one we missed when we were sending out PMs! Glad you finally found it. Purpleppleater (or however he spells that) set the board up right as the new Browns board was going up and it's just like the old dawgtalk. Sorry, we left you alone in that mad house.
it's something I haven't figured out yet. I can 'fix' it by specifying explicitly in their profile that their user color be 'white' to force the text to be the same, but I'm not sure yet of the actual cause... just haven't had time to look at the code yet.
If you mouse-over the area where the name is, you will se that it is indeed there, it's just defaulted to black text for some reason.

I was jut on a rescue mission over there looking for survivors who still didn't know about this site. I was going to send you a PM but saw that you had found us.
I'm haven't been there in a while till recently. I see there are a few intelligent life forms over there who are still trying to talk Browns football so I sent out a few PMs to throw them a line.

I was DiehardBrownieFan, same on Brownschat. I kept my sig the same so that maybe people would recognize me that way. I just changed it to Brownsfan this time because it was available. Thanks everyone for your support and its good to see you all again.

I still say we should make a DawgTalk day...once a week, once every two weeks, And that day just take over the board and have intelligent good football conversation. Somebody should make a Dawgtalk banner with a shameless ad for this site if you want...me I like it small and neat...or just a Dawgtalkers like we are a club or gang and all have it that day. Let individuals ask? n Pick n choose good posters to come over...well just a suggestion. As I got nobody watching my back anymore over there...some poster try but sometimes it make me look bad as if I'm saying those things. Anyways miss you all over there...Will continue to split my time at both boards.

The only part that keeps me from going there a lot is that EVERYTIME i want to sign in, I have to enter in my email adress and password...EVERYTIME...so lame

Theres just too much ignorance over there anymore. I always did appreciate the what I saw threads. I just dont enjoy the extremly strong opinioned people who dont even listen to your thoughts or opinions and just figure its more fun to bash you. Once I discovered this place I was ecstatic.
I still look there and even though I never posted all that much to begin with because I wait until I have something valuable to offer or really want to express my opinion I will post when the time calls for. I just enjoy it here much more and am glad to see all the regulars again.

eo, you may be. I didn't know about this board until yesterday (thanks again, Jules!), I was stuck over there, trying to find some decent conversation. Yours was the only name from DawgTalk that seemed to be posting a lot of content.
What did it for me over there was some brainwave suggesting that you didn't know anything about football (the one who thinks Zwick is our savior). Some came to your defense but the twelve year olds just won't let it go away. You're one of the most sensible posters here (outside of all that crazy OL talk - who needs a line ) so to say you know nothing about football ...

Hope you all don't mind me jumping in here, but I agree completely with DHB. I lurked around the old DawgTalk and really only spoke up when I had something to say. The new "chat" site they have up now is a joke. I happened by to look for any new articles when I found the link to this place. This place is much more like it! Familiar names and good discussions. I'm glad I found this place! Thanks for putting it together!!

He said Zwick was a "Franchise" QB, and said that he had "watched the games". Also that Troy was only awarded the job because the TE had dropped the balls for zwick.

I am with you...I was ClaydawG on the old site....didn't post a whole lot but read threads everyday...I registered on Brownschat under the name LA Drummer but didn't post there a lot either....I had really been getting disgusted with that site and the HUGE amount of trolls and the HUGE lack of ref intervention...
I stumbled onto this site from a link on that page (probably the same as the one you saw)...and was so glad to see Dawgtalk back...And all the intelligent posters (Diam, Peen, Toad, Tab, the usual suspects LOL... Anyway, glad to be back among some real Browns fans who have some intelligent things to say... Like I said I don't post a lot but I will be here everyday reading your takes!!!!

Here's what works for me. I always envision a bunch of us sitting at a bar talking football.

Diehard, glad you made it. We tried to PM or email everyone we could remember, but there were a lot of good posters that fell through the net. I don't post there anymore for obvious reasons. The environment is pathetic.

There are still good fans who can talk football over there, but sadly, I don't have the patience to wade through the muck just to get through it all. Things have really gone downhill over there, which is why all the good peeps are over here
