The Rockets are threatening to score, down 10-7 in the 2nd. They've committed some stupid penalties and mistakes but are still in this. This is a very mediocre UT team this season. Michigan looks atrocious, but they've come on strong in some second halves this year.

Try changing your complete offensive system without the players to do it. Most people knew Michigan was going to struggle this year, and possibly next year because they don't have the quarterback to run the system correctly.

That doesn't explain why michigan is letting a mediocre MAC offense march up and down the field on them.

I can't watch the game since I don't get the Big Ten Network, but the last I saw, the game was 10-7. The defense has been a little disappointing this year, but they can't be expected to carry the team every week and do well every week. Not making excuses because they need to play better, but when the offense turns the ball over on average of about 3 or 4 times a game, the defense is going to get beat up over the course of the year.

The last one was horrible. The Oklahoma player looked like he was trying to hold McCoy so he wouldn't fall down and McCoy just faceplants and gets the flag called...

Yeeeeehaaaaaahhhh!!!!!! That missed field goal made up for some pathetic calls against UT down the stretch. This is almost as enjoyable as a Bucks win.

I think this was a bigger upset than Appy last year. UT stinks this year. They just got beat 39-0 last week by Ball State, and they lost the week before at home against Florida International.

Honestly, I don't really view this as a huge negative. Maybe that sounds crazy but it's going to make all these players who clearly aren't performing up to snuff shut the hell up. It will give RR the opportunity to insert freshman in across the board without any questions asked and get them some experience for next season. Not saying I wanted Michigan to lose to Toledo but it will certainly open the door for any recruit who wants to play right now to step in and start.
Not a chance this team makes a bowl, it just doesn't have the QB play to do so. Defense played good (again) but has nothing to show for it. Might get to 6-6 if they're lucky but I see a losing season after watching that game today. Incompetent QB play will get you nowhere on any level.

Oh man, that's pitiful.
They lost to Toledo? I went out to cut the grass and didn't see the final. Man, they just are making the Big 10 look bad losing to MAC schools and teams in lower divisions.

Who on the remainder of the schedule do you see them beating? Purdue's the only one with a losing record, the rest are a combined 27-3.
10/18 @ No. 6 Penn State 4:30 PM 10/25 No. 23 Michigan State TBA 11/01 @ Purdue TBA 11/08 @ Minnesota TBA 11/15 Northwestern TBA 11/22 @ No. 12 Ohio State TBA

Honestly, MSU, Northwestern, Purdue and Minnesota are all overrated. Will Michigan beat any of them? I have no idea but all those teams are average in my opinion.
I find it almost unbelievable that Michigan didn't give up an offensive TD but still lost........but when a veteran kicker can't make a 25 yard FG, you don't deserve to win.
Thankfully, Michigan will get 2 spread QB's enrolled in December. Not a chance Threet or Sheridan sniff the field next year.

My intent isn't to rub salt into your own personal wound here, so don't take it as such. I don't talk crap to people, just teams In this case, dude, this is a HUGE negative. Few people expected Michigan to be any good this year, but nobody and I mean NOBODY thought a flat-out bad Toledo team could beat Michigan.
Fact: Michigan was a 16.5 point FAVORITE at home. They lost.
Lower expectations don't make this loss less painful. This just moved rock bottom down several yards.
I root against Michigan like I root against the Bengals. Today's loss couldn't have made me happier

personally, i think the mac gets a bad wrap, they are better than people give credit for, however toledo almost pulled a "romeo" by not going for it. 1:33 left. 4th and 2, um 33 and you dont go for it

I just find it funny that people care about Michigan losing this much. If Michigan losing makes your day, you might wanna go give you wife, mother, sister or whoever a hug once and a while. I mean honestly, when you cart out 2 QB's that would have trouble winning on the HS level, what else could you possibly expect? They're going to have atrocious games. Why? Because they're no good. It's not that hard to figure out. Is it a positive for THIS team? No, it's not but recruiting kids and saying "you can start for us right now" is definitely a good thing for a team that's installing a new system and completely lacking the personnel necessary to run it. If you don't see it, no big deal....Michigan isn't trying to recruit you.

I agree - UM seems to have a solid defense this year... so if they can get some lucky breaks they should be squeek out a few more wins - but no way they make a bowl this year.

Michigan's defense didn't look that good today. UT shot themselves in the foot with stupid penalties and dumb mistakes that killed good drives. They also missed a chipshot field goal. The slant was open all day, and Opelt missed wide open receivers at least 5 times. He had so much time to throw it was ridiculous.

If they would have trouble winning on the HS level, why would they have a scholarship to UM? While I understand UM is rebuilding, I really don't understand how they could be this bad. They still are the UM and get plenty of solid recruits. Their OL and DL are far superior to anything a MAC team could get. I understand you are a fan Nas, and you are looking at any positive you can, but todays performance was pathetic. As much as I hate UM, it was embarrassing as a Big 10 fan. I actually kind of feel bad for you and UM fans overall.

Well, Sheridan is a walk-on. Threet was a transfer. Neither were recruited by RR (or Carr for that matter). Mallett transfered and we lost out on Pryor......the end result is what you see now.
Plus, for a fan of a team who has had God awful QB play (Browns) I can't believe some of you are underestimating how crippling it is to have a QB(s) who can't make routine throws. Michigan had 4-5 EASY TD's that they missed because the QB couldn't make a simple football play.

How's the view from that glass house? Kind of like OSU in big games? The Big Ten as a whole has been embarrassing for some time now, I don't think it's just UM. Rag on them if you want but OSU has fallen flat on their face in every big game in recent memory. Have they played better teams? Sure but when you get run off the field, I fail to see the difference.
Especially when this season was expected to be a wash for UM. I didn't see a single expert predict anything better then 7-5, most said 6-6. Did people predict them to lose to Toldeo, obviously not but I've been saying all year that Michigan could lose to anyone on their schedule if they don't get good QB play. Well, they didn't get good QB play today and not surprisingly, they lost. It's not rocket science. Michigan's QB's were 15/27 for 120 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT's. I don't see how you're going to beat anyone with QB play that's that atrocious. Throw in a veteran kicker missing a 26 yard FG and that's how you lose to a team you shouldn't.
