Synopsis: One wonders if Paul Brown knew what he was starting in 1946. For the story of the team named in his honor is not merely one of professional football, but of the city it represents. As much as the Terminal Tower, the West Side Market and Shaker Square, the Browns are woven into the fabric of Cleveland itself, never to be removed. Browns football is not merely a pastime, or mere entertainment. It is a civic religion that is passed down through the generations; whose faithful followers have weathered every storm imaginable, hoping to see their team recapture its championship tradition. To be a Browns fan is to journey through all of life’s varied emotions every Sunday, unwavering and steadfast throughout the years. Now, over 60 seasons’ worth of moments and memories are captured in this two-DVD set: The Complete History of the Cleveland Browns. Through the lens of NFL Films, you’ll see how a team turned into a tradition. From the Jim Brown years, to the Kardiac Kids, to the rebirth under Alfred Lerner, The Complete History of the Cleveland Browns will provide you a ticket to yesteryear in six hours of exciting highlights, interviews and profiles.

best buy didn't have it tuesday, and i called and asked and they said, since it wasn't a huge budget item (esp. outside clevo) that they probably wouldn't receive it until next week)
FYI, I just picked up my copy at Giant Eagle in Mentor for $15. It said 19.99 but when it rang up it came up as 14.99 perhaps with the advantage card this happened. The dvd is great! I watched the 2nd disc bonus features so far. Love the Bernie special and the Kardiac Kids highlight film. For the poster above the dvd that came out last year was 3 disc/3 game set They were Browns vs Packers 1980, Browns vs Steelers 89' (Bud Carson's debut and season opner in Pittsburgh) and the Falcon game from 2002 that got us in the playoffs. Hope that helps. Go Browns!
i watched the first disc with my girlfriend last night, nfl films did a tremendous job of putting this together...
they highlited quite a few seasons, the obvious ones ('64, '79, '86, '87, '95, '99, '02, '07) but they also went into other seasons...
i thought they would delve into the move a little bit more, but they did show a lot from the last game, some footage you have seen a lot, and some that maybe you haven't...
the first 10 years with otto graham and paul brown was an absolute treat to watch... i really think our current guys should be shown that portion of this dvd.
seriously though, if any of you guys can spare 20 bucks, it is well worth the purchase, and a must have for any browns fan.
i haven't checked out disc 2 yet, but since our game doesn't start until 3 tomorrow, i may pop that in.
