Don't care for either. Especially considering where this may lead - a logo on the helmet.
I'm a hater.

The helmet will never be touched. So there should be no worries of any Dawg logo or elf logo going on the helmet. It will be all orange forever.
I would like to see the original elf on the mid field. I wouldnt mind seeing the elf as a small patch on the shoulder one season. Kind of like the AL (Al Lerner commerative patch) on the sleeve. It would work for one season. It would give me a reason to buy another jersey. If they did that, I would have to make sure I bought a jersey with Brownie on the sleeve.
I have an all orange hat with Brownie on it and a Brownie key chain. The next Browns coat I get will be an all brown winter coat hoodie with a big Brownie logo on the back. The Browns should sell Brownie patches. I think they could make a nice profit off of it, but who sows these days?

You put either of those POS's on the helmet and I'm DONE,....
You don't screw with tradition.
Sometimes you screw with Constitution. This ain't one of those times.
You're welcome.

Who cares? They are just uniforms. I don't care if they put a pink unicorn in front of a rainbow on the helmets as long as we win.
PS- I like the old Elf, considering I have it tattoo'd on my leg.

I pretty much agree with that, I mean, Id rather stick with what we have, however if they changed it up, in the grand scheme of things I really wouldnt care.
However, pink with unicorns, thats going a little too far, that would be too much.

way to totally zoink your poll navy.... no pink with unicorn option. sheesh! also, wouldn't pink unicorns automatically include tenacious D as our new cheerleaders? seems like a heavy investment. did the devil brownie idea come from this guy? --->

The intent of this poll wasn't about a helmet logo or change of uniforms, just asking which Browns elf is liked more than the other.

With all the injurys, staph infections, and over all underlying mis-haps that happen on this club, you have to wonder if this team realy has a Gremlin problem? Realy....?

No doubt, some people get so worked up about the uni's when you didn't even suggest a change. Funny. Relax people.
I use the same philosophy as Chief Wahoo.........we've had him for a long time and he hasn't much helped in the past 60 years.....so why are Clevelanders so protective of him? Sometimes change is good for change sake. Maybe it helps release the curse, who knows.*
*Change the stripes, remove the stripes, add an elf to the hip, add an elf to the field, keep the Brown pants, start wearing orange shoes or even do a complete overhaul of everything except the Browns colors and the helmet. That goes for ALL Cleveland teams (though I like the Cavs the way they are compared to their history). The Indians could walk out in green and yellow uni's with an arrowhead as their logo and I wouldn't give two peeps if they won a WS in that year.

i think wahoo is the best logo in sports.
i'm not even really a baseball fan. anyway, yea it matters. tradition is important to teams like the browns that have all of that history. i would be sad if penn st came out with a logo on their plain uni's too.
on topic, i do love the old elf and am against evil elf guy. he makes me think i should put my cookies in a safe. too scary.

i second everything you said.
if the browns came out with steeler helmets, i wouldn't give a hoot and a holler if they won the super bowl.
with that said, i like both elves. i have the new one as my backround on my phone.
the elf is cool. a nice little unofficial logo.

I agree....and didn't know how to vote the second question....so I didn't.
Stick with the original, and stick it everywhere.
If we had to use a helmet logo, that is the only choice.(there is one a bit older that works too)

Wahoo rules!I was a wahoo fan before i was a tribe fan. I still remember driving by the old stadium back in the late 70's & freaking out over the wahoo sign.My folks had to pull into the parking lot so I could get a closer look.

I love the original; have pimped for him to be around more on their shirts and gear. Caused some trouble advocating it on the old board. Then the home page had surveys and things if you remember. The Elf on the right is the one of my youth; I was born in the 50's and it used to appear in the paper and on football cards and such. Marketing HAS a viable niche; seem to be more concerned about pants color, stupid dog profiles, and generally "don't get it" IMO. Easier to service an eager market than develop a niche. The football B was pointless. But I digress (joyfully, I might add). Really hate the one on the left. OK for some folks, but Ozzy can only buy so many, and DC and Marvel each has its illustrators in place. Looks sweet, but not for this team. Looks like the Goblin. Mind me asking what prompted this?

Those pictures are nice, but really elves don't scream football to me. They should be in a cookie factory somewhere. I would prefer a mascot that's not one step removed from a fairy.

I have a t-shirt that says "BEER WE GO BROWNIES, BEER WE GO!" on it and has the elf (not that one...it looks a LOT like the authentic one...I'm amazed the Browns haven't asked for a cease and desist yet) bonging a beer...it's awesome.

Authentic LOOKING, I meant. My bad. It looks JUST like the "Here we go Brownies" shirt they sell on Clevelandbrowns.com except it says "Beer we go Brownies", the elf is bonging a beer (I'm amazed the Browns haven't sued because this looks just like the real elf) and instead of saying "Cleveland Browns" at the bottom it says "Cleveland Tailgate"
