Thank you all. I appreciate it!!! 40 today! Guess what my gift was - from my wife.........She got us tickets to the Browns Ravens game. Going Sat., staying downtown, and here's the killer - IT'S ON HER!!! Talk about a surprise! My next surpise? My wife just told me a little bit ago she was going to Toledo to try to find a Penn St. shirt to wear tomorrow, and she took my daughter, so I'm free for about 3 hours.  I don't need to feel bad about being on here.

That's from "Girls with guns", is it not? If you go to youtube and watch videos of guns, shooting, etc, you're bound to come across one of those. I think I might need to look into getting that gun, too.

To be honest I don't go there as I once did, but still drop by for a while to say hello to some old friends every few times up. The last couple of years I have done more of my tailgating downtown at some restaurant, with a group on the west side of the stadium, or just at the stadium itself. I have no problem entering the stadium 2 hours early and just head to the seats and sip a beer there. My personality doesn't mind a full day of hammering them back, but alas....my body doesn't cooperate. I have diabetes, so drinking all day and eating all sorts of tailgate fair just isn't the best thing I can do.
So, seeing the personality dictates I partake, and the health dictates I cut back, I have a choice......go full bore or avoid it....so I try to limit the opportunity by showing up late and leaving early.

Happy Birthday Arch! I too, will be attending the Ravens game. But living 3 hours away, and going to the game with my dad, sister, and brother, it is impossible for me to make it to the island.
And I have a feeling the island isn't exactly apprpriate for someone my age.

I get there around 6 AM. If you want to park at DTI you need to be there before 8 am. Of course you can always park someplace else and walk over to DTI.

We'll probably park somewhere else and walk.
My wife is already going on about "what should we take", food, etc......I said "heck, we'll just hang out there for a while, then head back to where ever we parked and eat there, then go to the game.
Since she's up for it, I just want to meet people - in person. Put real faces to names. Have a drink, shoot the crap and go from there.

Michelle - I believe the Ravens game is a 1:00 game......now, maybe people still get there at 6:00 am for a 4:00 game, I don't know.
I know years back - when I was going by myself - I'd leave about 8 am, park in muni no problem. And that was with a 2 1/2 hour drive.
Obviously things have changed.
