still, if this is how we're going to lose, late in ballgames, on the road, against elite teams (all 3 of our losses) i can live with that. that's how great teams go about their business.

Exactly. It was also on the second night of a back-to-back. When we start losing by double digits to sub-.500 teams I'll worry.

i do have to say... sheed's back to back 3 pointers changed the game completely.

immediately after that, lebron took some really stupid shots. trying to match sheed. i think he thought he was on the past cavs teams...

mo was hot. delonte has proven he'll knock down clutch shots. there was no reason for him to chuck up a 28 footer.

you can't knock the guy too much, because he does so much, but he's gotta trust his teammates more in that situation. he went away from cavs basketball.

That's the one small thing that irks me about Lebron ... sometimes when the other team hits a big three, or we have a chance to really put the game away, Lebron just decides to jack up some long threes because he thinks he can hit them. Bill Simmons calls this a "I"m Keith Hernendez!" moment.

and you know what, sometimes he will hit those. but with the way we're playing now, you don't have to do that.

we move the ball around so well, the outside shooting is really looking the best that i've ever seen in the lebron era.

saturday should be awesome, bounce back game against the hawks, who look pretty good.

with the way we're playing, i could see this team winning 35 games at the q... not out of the question at all...

hawks getting stampeded out of the q...

we should go 41-0 at home, that would be awesome.

i had to laugh at the poster who compared mo to hughes...there is no comparion..hughes was never the player mo is now..i love watching this team this year...the chemistry is amazing the starters and bench all seem to care about 1 thing.. winning

it was interesting, that when he did bring the thought up, that mo's % was right around larry hughes range.

but mo is the man, and he's fitting in very well...

there was an article in the pd that said the cavs are a different team right now, and a lot of it has to do with mo running the offense on his own, and mike brown not calling in plays, which allows the other team to maybe decode whatever he's saying...

i wanted mo a year ago when he was up for free agency, we didn't stand a chance, because of the beauty of the nba, and how teams can keep their guys, however, milwaukee wanted to clear some space, save money, and were able to land him.

and he's basically putting up the stats he did last year...

assists are down, but don't forget we've got lebron... but he's averaging 16 points, and more important than personal stats, he's got us 10 points better from our average of last year, and he's got this offense at it's highest average of the lebron era

i'm not saying it's all him, because lebron is obviously the huge reason, as well as others, but mo changes them to a team who can score 100 a night, which is what we're dropping...

100 a night on a mike brown coached team will get you 60 wins, 60 wins plus.

that's what's amazing to me..is usually defensive teams slow the game down and score around 80 points a game...we're good defensively and still putting over 100 up...its' fun to watch..we're going to be very scary after we trade wally for wallace

We need Antonio McDyess, and we'll be set. McDyess and Wallace would work wonders, and we already know the Z and AV rotation is working.

McDyess would probably be the missing piece to beating the Celtics. A perimeter defender and McDyess would probably mean a championship.

the spurs are one of the few teams that can run, and play a slug it out style, and it's not a coincidence that mike brown was raised by popovich...

our offenses were weak the last few years, but we never had another true ball handler, or even really a second scorer...

now we have a primary scorer, and 2 secondary scorers... not to mention z, as well as our bench guys, boobie, wally, and wild thing... they're all key contributors...

people were too hard on brown, and less observant of the roster.

he should be commended for taking tha team to the finals. because they weren't really that great of a team if you think about it. and yes, people always make lebron's game 5 performance out to be the reason why they went to the finals, but it was their team defense throughout that series that earned them the finals appearance. and that was evident when lebron didn't have much of a game in the clincher.

it's nice to have a solidifed coach though. we've got 2 out of 3 in cleveland anyways...

i'm sorry, but he's vastly overrated as a coach. vastly.

could we as cavs fans have asked for anything better?

seriously, since friday we have heard nonstop from espn, and yahoo sports, about how lebron to the knicks is a done deal. as well as chris bosh...

and we go into the garden, with the crowd jacked up, and absolutely annihiliate the bricks with lebron not having any kind of a monster game?

espn won't point it out, but the cavs are good, they're not a one man team.

nbatv is showing the game now, and walt frazier said he heard through the grapevine that lebron wants to stay in cleveland but his "cohorts" are trying to get him to leave.

maybe it's the same cohorts that are stephen a-hole smith's "sources" that have failed him numerous times.

regardless. i love this, anytime you can abuse new york, you do it. and the entire roster should be arrested for assault and battery.

just wanted to point this out too, because several people on the board have brought up the "escalator" myth. i even pointed out the fact that it was a myth, and people questioned me.

Quote:

I've only written this about a dozen times, but here does again: LeBron's Nike contract does not have location escalator clauses. He signed the deal for the maximum penny the night before the lottery, a lottery the Bulls, Knicks and Clippers were in. That was three years and three days ago and the deal has four more years to run. Some of his other deals do have such clauses, but even if those endorsement deals tripled they would not cover the difference in him signing with the Nets rather than the Cavs.

My friend and I were just saying that. You go in and murder the bums for even thinking that they just take what we have. The Cavs beat the snot out of the Knicks tonight...NOT Lebron James. That was the best thing I've seen in years!

I liked how the crowd stayed, just to watch LeBron and they were fed a big helping of our bench... It was an inescapable statement... we are a TEAM

I don't really think many people understand how advertising and marketing really works...I have no idea if LeBron is going to bolt or not...he's almost too coy about it. However, if he did leave the move would be motivated by a lifestyle change, not a financial one...currently, he would be likely to lose money by fleeing Cleveland.

That is the question who do you pair with LeBron? Wade, Anthony, or Bosh, personally I would take Bosh.

Im glad too see Hickson getting minutes and playing hard... I havent seen enough of him to form a concrete opinion of him yet...anyone got a scoop?

EDIT: I can say this though he is not Desagna Diop

you can see the talent in him, it's pretty obvious, he's still raw in terms of the nba game

put it this way, if he stayed another year in school, he'd be a top ten pick, easily.

and he's not just playing mop-up time, brown has thrown him out there on several occasions when the game was still undecided.

a year and a half from now, he could be really good...

Yeah, JJ looks like he's loaded with talent and is still just a little bit out of control, but that will come with time and experience. Look at Andy as an example of that.

So is it considered running up the score if most of your starters have been on the bench the whole game? Lebron only has 10 minutes, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him sit out the whole second half if this keeps up.

You've gotta love a game where your guy with the least amount of playing time still got 9 and a half minutes. 46 boards, 27 dimes, 60.8% from the field. Not a bad night.

With the Indians and Browns recent failures ... thank God for the Cavs! It's absolutly wonderful to see a team not only beat teams that they are supposed to, but completely destroy them in the process.

Man are we just SMOKIN' these high scorin' teams or what...

Once the D clamps down it's all over...

Williams & West 30/6/8 combined nightly is a huge part of this surge...

These back to backs are alot easier when you've got starters playin' 25 or less the night before...Here comes another in Milwaukee...3 back to backs in December...All 3 are home and road...But the overall schedule only has Denver away and Toronto/Houston both at home...

This December schedule's lookin' good...

I know we're not even out of November yet but man I'm excited over this team.

Imagine if we have stretches like this all year where LeBron doesn't even play in the 4th quarter. Imagine how much fresher he's going to be come playoffs.

Imagine if we pull off a big trade...do we even need to?

We almost have to...We can't let Zerbs expiring contract go and get nothing...

And I'm not sure about the legals of Snow and his expiring contract...

Then comes Wallace and Pavs next year...I've given up all hope for Pavs ever being anything more than decent defensively...He's got a PURE SHOT and can't hit chit...

I'm tellin' ya' right now...Z's got a PLAYER OPTION for next year and that's it...He's gettin' up there in age...Actually already is there...CHRIS BOSH is the one I go for in FA of 2010 and that will KEEP BRON HERE...Bosh replaces Z (YES AT CENTER unless we find someone else) and with him and Bron with Williams we can fill in the roster the rest of the way...

Bron/Bosh/Williams would DOMINATE the League...The more I think about it...The more I believe that Bosh might just be what Gilbert was actually saying the other night when he said "The Raptors need to worry about the Cavs TAKING BOSH away from them"...And Miami Wade...And Denver Anthony...I think he's SET ON BOSH AT ALL COSTS...

We're in great hands with Gilbert & Ferry...

Bron can do for Cleveland what Jordan did for Chicago...

Go Browns!!!
