Before I get accused of knee-jerk reactions.
That's EXACTLY what I'm doing. I feel violated as a Browns fan today, I'm FUMING.

I'm right with ya actually... I actually am at the point today where I couldn't care less if they packed this team up and moved it out to L.A. tonight. If last night is what we are to expect (which it must be as it is the norm, not the exception), then I have no use for them.

I'm as upset as the next guy, but I'd rather have a team to yell and scream at than no team at all.

Then by all means root for someone else. The going's tough, so get going if that's how you feel. I'm as disgusted as the next person, but I remember all too well the feeling of when the team left Cleveland and I had no team to root for.
I'm not advocating just being happy with the status quo, but a statement like yours isn't from a TRUE Browns fan in my opinion. From your posts in the past, I've seen passion about this team. Maybe I was mistaken.

Were not saying he wouldnt help us, I'm just trying to be realistic, Phil is committed to our corners and to some extent I think with a average pass rush our corners will improve. it's hard for any corner to cover an NFL reciever when the QB has 10-15 seconds to stand in the pocket.
I do worry about his attitude, but a coach & veteran leaders need to address and contain that.
This year is toast, why not let our corners play and learn, thats what were doing, there not playing badly, mistakes of course, part of learning, but I'm more worried about our safeties than corners.

Crennel says Cleveland Browns will discuss signing CB DeAngelo Hall by Mary Kay Cabot Friday November 07, 2008, 1:46 PM Browns coach Romeo Crennel said today that the team will at least discuss the possibility of signing cornerback DeAngelo Hall, who was released this week by the Oakland Raiders. Hall, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, was released after he reportedly struggled in the Raiders' man-to-man scheme and was beaten a lot in the first half of the season. Other teams reportedly interested in Hall include the Giants, Patriots, Steelers, Redskins and Jets. Hall was traded by the Falcons to Oakland in March for a second-round pick in 2008 and a fifth-rounder in 2009. He signed a seven-year, $70 million deal with the Raiders, but received only $8 million before getting waived. The Browns are least mildly interested in Hall because young cornerback Brandon McDonald is struggling. He gave up touchdown passes of 93 and 11 yards in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 34-30 loss to the Broncos and dropped two interceptions. Hall has been nicknamed "MeAngelo" for his selfish style of play, and Crennel said the team would have to take into consideration the character issue before deciding to bring him on board. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2008/11/crennel_says_cleveland_browns.htmlWell, now that it's a legitimate possibility... what are everyone's thoughts?

You go root for someone else, I'd be perfectly content rooting for no one. I didn't watch football when they weren't here the last time, I didn't watch it when I lived out of the country... I'd do just fine with no NFL in my life again.
And I guess I'm not a TRUE fan as you put it, because if they left right now my only words would be "Thanks for nothing.".... that may change by tomorrow, but it is how I feel today, no doubt about it.

I think he wouldn't fare any better here than he did when he was dumped in Atlanta, and dumped in Oakland.
Do we REALLY need another "ME" player here? Edwards and Winslow allready feed off of each other, and nobody has been able to control Hall.
Sorry, but we're not the Cowboys. Bringing in talented douches hasn't gotten them a ring, and it won't get us one.
***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy. Manziel, see Josh Gordon. Dumbass.***

Figures, he goes from one of the biggest name chasers in the league to another.

Here's the key for me..
Hall, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, was released after he reportedly struggled in the Raiders' man-to-man scheme and was beaten a lot in the first half of the season. Mix bag ..two time Pro Bowler..but gets beat in man coverage..something most top corners pride themselves of..shouldn't be getting beat no matter where you play.. If it was just a attitude issue..I say go get him but something isn't right..

He's got half a season to acquit himself and then he's a free agent at the end of the season.

I have no idea... but he can't be any worse than what we've got right now.... I'd say that he actually IS what we have right now. At least the bottom of our CB depth would look better, which means Terry Cousins wouldn't be our Nickle... that's a positive right there.

Man I understand your frustration, but things will get better. I guess I jumped on your post because I'm disgusted too. I just hate to think that things have gotten so bad that this team is losing it's true fans. I know you ARE one or you wouldn't be posting on here regularly. Would life end if the Browns left? No, but for me there would be a huge void after spending my life rooting for one team and one team only.
In the end, we all have to do what we have to do, and it's not my right to juged your true feelings. For coming off that way, I apologize.
