Getting it for Nintendo Wii. Looking forward to it. A new star wars game comes out this week and new Sonic the week after, it is going to be a great month for video games.

Definitely, on the trailer it looked world war 2 style which is my preference.

I downloaded and installed the multiplayer demo, but haven't played it yet.... it's supposed to be pretty good, but it is basically COD4 in a WW2 setting.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Here are some of the impovements via wikipedia. "Environments are now more destructible and can be set on fire with the flamethrower, which features propagating fire. Bullets can cut holes in thin wood, making a gap big enough for the player to climb through. Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Oldman have been cast as voice actors for the game, Sutherland will voice main character, Sgt. Roebuck."
The game also features vehicles and co-op mode. In co-op you can do missions with another person, or play online with up to three other people.
I will use the co-op a lot. I think the shooting through wood to make a hole to climb through sounds sweet. I also like the flamethrower and vehicle additions.

From the trailer it also looked like you released dogs on the enemy instead of an air strike after so many consecutive kills.

I might pick this up later next year. I was never a huge COD4 fan. I was a good game and I was the best online shooter, but the FPS respawn was never my style. Now that Socom is out I'm happy.
I just picked up Socom and Fallout in the last 30 days. I will be getting Ressitance 2, God of War 3 and Killzone 2 in the next few months. I have/will have enough games to keep me busy.
Like I said, COD4 was a good game, I just prefer the Socom gameplay (TPS non-respawn).

So far I really like this game, one of the best war games on the wii. Must buy if you like fps war games.

Yeah its better...your back in WW2....graphics, gameplay, missions, controls, storyline...its a great game. PLayed it about 2 hours last night...im not into the Russian missions.
The 4 player co-op is a blast as well...I havent tried multiplayer games yet...or online play. But the online play is supposed to be awesome.

I've been looking for a shooter game to try out on Wii. I used to love the 007 and Mission Impossible stuff. Is this one I should try, in anybody's opinion?
I hadn't heard about the Star Wars yet, either.

If you like WW2 games its a must buy. The graphics are nice and very good story. Challenging also. I've yet to try the online mode or multi-player.
It is rated M though, for gore and language.

i was kind of glad to see cod4 go away from wwii
not that wwii is bad or anything, but it seems like 75% of console shooters are world war 2 based...
we need a good vietnam game.
how about a good rev war game? musket guns that take 3 minutes to load? i'd resort to chucking rocks at the english.

Thats true. The only Vietnam game I have ever played was Conflict Vietnam. It is a decent game.
I am looking forward to CoD5. I prefer the WWII style games and most of the CoD games have been good for the most part.

That...actually sounds fun....I bought that Civil War game for 360 last year..and it was awful. You get shot everytime you reload your musket, because it takes 30 seconds to reload for one shot!
I want a game kinda themed after the movie "The Patriot".

One thing I don't like about most of today's games - they are too short. Just defeated this game under one week playing an hour a day.

yeah must games are for online mainly. the one player mode is like warming up for online. heck some games are online only. trying to get used to the iron sights. missing my red dot scope.

There was a Battlefield: Vietnam. It was ok. If you got into the US base, you'd typically hear music from the time (duh), but that was kind of neat.

play COD4 online in "search and destroy" mode. no respawn, objective to destroy or defend. its fun.

Thats the game, Battlefield Vietnam. I remember when I was in the base hearing "Purple Haze" playing. I think I got it confused with the Conflict Desert Storm games. Those were fun.

Damn it, nobody wants to play with me! Where's my SOCOM people at?  I've played with BrowniePoints and that's about it so far, and I've played one game against Tasty on MLB The Show.
