I can see why this was very emotional for her and why she felt very scared and alone and threatened...
I can't.

Not for nothing, but I think this woman (I"m truly sorry for the loss of her husband) came unprepared.. A little research would have fixed this situation..
She apparently knew of the Family Friendly areas within the stadium,, that's where she needed to find seats.. Baring that, she needed to get on the phone and ask for advice from the Browns directly before hand...
I'm pretty sure they would have helped her and directed her to a more fan friendly location within the stadium...
Still, I'm sorry she was subjected to these actions by a few people that feel they have a right to make asses of themselves and destroy the experience for others...

If this woman only knew what was being said on the field. Football is a violent sport and it attracts mostly violent fans. Not saying violent meaning I'll kill ya or anything, but we wanna see some hits and some hurting.
She sounds like she should go see an Indians game. I feel bad about her loss and all, but football is football. She doesn't sound educated about the game and obviously doesn't know about how some football fans can be like.
Live and learn.
How in the world can you fix something... If you don't know how it's supposed to work?

They should ban alcohol and swearing-----that is the direction that this thread is heading.
I don't agree with throwing stuff--but some decent razzing is fine in my book.
Also, there is plenty of security at games, and they DO watch over the crowd.
I believe that this woman simply wants attention.
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

I've been to professional football games not involving a Cleveland team and all of this and more happens. This isn't a story about Cleveland, it's about sports fans in general.
yeah exactly; in Europe they riot, there's never been a riot in Clevel; uh, never mind....
