Be patient with me here. - I really don't know too much about this.
I just brought this whole Lebron to New York issue up with my supervisor.
He told me that he heard that Lebron, Dwayne Wayde, and Chris Bosh, made a pact at the Olympics that all 3 players would sign with the Knicks in 2010 for 7 years a piece so that they could all play in the supposed "Basketball Mecca" together, and win multiple championships. - It sounds incredibly stupid to me, but he was dead serious.
On top of that, he told me that Lebron's marketing deal with Microsoft ended because he wasn't getting enough exposure in Cleveland.
He then told me that the NBA itself will continue to thrive without residents of middle market cities supporting their teams. According to him, the middle market survives because irregardless of what residents in middle market towns do, the corporations in middle market towns will buy season tickets/suites/loges, to give to their prospective clients.
- I hope he's wrong.

Hahahahahahaha sounds like a typical New Yorker who has no idea about the real world.
The reason Microsoft canceled their deal with James is because the head of marketing at MS, who put the deal together, left earlier this year for another job.
As for the pact, didn't LBJ and Kidd say they wanted to play together too at one time? we can see how thats worked out.
"Basketball Mecca" LOL they have 2 frickin titles, 2!
