I'm watching them on Leno right now.

I swear to God they have to be the most tone-deaf group I've ever had the misfortune of hearing. The sad thing? They're the "in" band of 2008! Their voices are like nails on a chalkboard.

Do you hate everything that society likes?

I mean, I agree with the Jonas Brothers... but it seems like you rebel against everything that everyone else in society can appreciate.

Serious question... not trying to rile you up or anything.

Not really.

I like a lot of mainstream things.

Does this really need a thread?

I lived through Right Said Fred...I didn't make it a point to discuss how terrible they were. I thought it was kind of a given.

My 13 year old daughter would not only disagree, she'd most likely rip your ears off and stomp them into the snow!

I on the other hand...

Sorry but I'm pretty much rock all the way.

I'll bet your parents said the exact same thing about the music you liked when you were a teenager didn't they? I know mine did.... You can go back through every decade back to at least the 1920s (with music) and probably back to the beginning of time for other things and you will see that each generation thought the next generation had no taste in fashion or music... it's a given.

Thats the truth. You should have seen the look on my dad's face when I was cranking G & R's Appetite doing yard work. That is a classic moment in my life and thank god for my mom since my dad did not kill me.

They're a "pop-rock" band. Usually I don't have a problem with these kinds of bands and even *gasp* like some.

The problem with the Jonas Brothers? They're tone deaf. They try to sing but it's so off key it drives my ears crazy.

I'm pretty sure my Mom and Dad didn't really like Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine.

I'd say Miley and Billie Ray Cyrus are worse than the Jonas Brothers.

You take that back!

"See You Again" is an anthem down here. (Funny thing is if we heard it in middle school, most of us guys would plug our ears)

LOL......Your so right, me & my kids were talking about this when the new AC / DC album came out, we saw it on TV and my son 17 said he was running out that day to buy it, it's strange to hear them listening to Areosmith, Black Sabbath, My kids love Ozzy, (Dont know if that right, seems alittle creepy) LOL....I have an old Ozzy poster in the basement they all want for thier rooms, but the new Ozzy text message commercial they just love it, funny how music like Sabbath, Hatchet, Zepplin, Door, (my oldest daughter is a hugh nugent fan), carry's on from ages to ages, shows good music is good music, no matter what age it was played in, I remeber listening to Alice Cooper (Welcome to my Nightmare 8 track tape) and my parents threating me they were gonna throw it away. I dont threaten that with my kids, but some of it maybe I should......

Jonas brothers are the Milli Vanilli of the new generation.

Why you even watched is beyond me.

One thing I notice though, Disney is a pop music pumping machine anymore.

I have a perfect system set up for this type of thing...

Don't have kids. See by not having kids I'll never have to subject myeself to any of this crap. I have never heard the Jonas Brothers, Mily Cyrus, or any of the other crap disney is pumping out. I couldn't point them out in a lineup or recognize a song of theirs. It's a great system. And it'll save me a ton of money over my lifetime.

They're like the Daryl brothers from the old Newhart show

Hi, I'm Larry. This is my brother Jonas, and this is my other brother Jonas.

(Okay, I think it's time for my nap - or my meds)

Quit picking on those boys. Afterall, they are a good influence on our youth. Their promise rings that symbolize their commitment to abstinence is such a powerful thing...Just like Brittany telling the world she was a virgin.

Speaking of Disney Channel

I remember when it used to be good. Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, The Famous Jett Jackson and Boy Meets World were on all the time.

Now it's unwatchable.

Nickelodeon is much the same way. I know I'm not the target audience anymore, but kids these days don't know what they're missing.

Unfortunately, I don't think kids nowadays are exposed to the absolute wonderfulness that is Looney Tunes. I still sit and watch them on youtube and just crack up, even though I've seen them probably a thousand times.
