Here's one site that has J.Laurinaitis above R.Maualga....and the site has us taking Vontae Davis from Illinois. www.draftcountdown.com ...just throwing it out there. I know there's a lot of football let to be played in each league, free agency and the combine....so this is far from accurate.

Oh, in case you don't want to follow the link and read what they said about us, here goes:
When they traded Leigh Bodden the Browns left themselves woefully thin at cornerback and outside of Eric Wright they might not have another starting-caliber cover guy on the roster. Sorry Brandon McDonald. With that being the case there is no question that corner is far and away the Browns most pressing need so they would have to be elated if either Malcolm Jenkins or Vontae Davis or fell into their lap. At 6-0 and 204 lbs. with 4.4 speed and a sculpted physique Vontae Davis has everything you look for in a shutdown corner and if he decides to go pro after his junior year he could very easily be in the Top 10 mix. Davis also earns high marks in the bloodlines department as he is the little brother of San Francisco 49’ers tight end Vernon Davis, who was the sixth overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. As a darkhorse keep an eye on local product Chris “Beanie” Wells because Jamal Lewis is going to be 30-years old next season and they really don’t have a quality backup or eventual successor in place. If they decide to part ways with Kellen Winslow next offseason a tight end could come into play as well. However, the bottom line is if there's any value left at corner when Cleveland's on the clock that's the direction they have to go.

I don't think JL fits in here. We need veteran linebackers. Gimme Keith Brooking in fa, Gimme Karlos Dansby in fa. - The linebackers that we have now would make nice supplements to these two. We don't have the personnel nor the time to bring along a rookie.
As for the draft, I'd love to get either Malcom Jenkins, or Vontae Davis. - If neither of them is available, gimme the best player available. (Crabtree, Beanie)
As for the later rounds, continue to supplement our secondary, and our offensive and defensive-lines.

I think their breakdown is shortsighted.
The best corners in the world can't cover forever. A pass rush would make our corners not have to play 8 yards off the LOS, and would make them more aggressive.
We need rushers more than anything on defense.
As for taking Wells (which would make me sick because of his injury issues) I think we can make due with one more year of Lewis/Harrison/Wright.

I agree. Anything to hold out for LeSean McCoy...

No doubt. He'd be great at inside. He's a guy who can stuff the run, rush the passer, and defend the pass, all very well. Not to mention that he has great instincts and is a leader.

I do think it would be an advantage to have "VD" to make a receiver think twice about "scoring".
I hate that term "shutdown corner". There's no such thing in this day and age.

All of the mock drafts I have checked out have V. Davis off the board before the Browns pick. Also, all of them have V. Davis picked ahead of M. Jenkins.
How about the Safety from USC? His name escapes me.

That's part of the unknown though.. we don't know when the Browns will pick... The Browns might not win another game..
especially with our back-up QB in...

Let's just say for humor's sake that we win 'em all,....(...., ,....) Where would/might the Browns pick,....gotta figure 9-7 is a middle-of-the pack pick, around 13-19, maybe 12-20. Who doesn't think all of these guys we've already mentioned won't be gone by the 12th pick ??
Now, we lose all five, (4-12)---then we should be picking 5-9 or so,....I say Ray will be gone in the first three picks. I say we quit dreaming about Ray, but I'd love to be wrong. Just my take.

Malauga may be there between picks 5-10. If we pick that low, and he's not there, you go with V. Davis. If Davis isn't there you either go Jenkins, or bpa. - Hopefully the stud O-lineman from Alabama, or Crabtree.

Ill help you out muni Quote:

Taylor Mays, id prefer William Moore over him though

Andra Smith, he would be a hall of fame RT which would be the position he would play if we drafted him.
If we are picking top 10 I do NOT want to draft Vontae Davis or Chris Wells. I want either crabtree, maualuga or selvie. I dont want to draft "the animal" because hes small and cant shed blocks. He would be a stud in the tampa 2.

First, shame on you for going there Now we know where YOUR head is at!
Second, Asomghua (or however you spell his name) is as close as there is to a shutdown corner in todays NFL. It was Bailey before he got hurt, but since Nmandi (or however you.....yeah) plays for the Raiders, nobody knows about him.

I completely agree. Asamougha is the best corner in the NFL. He doesn't put up the stats that others do, but that's because no one throws his way. I would LOVE to get him as a Free Agent this year, but I doubt the Raiders let him go, and he'd cost a ton.

None of us will have ANY indication of where we are going in the draft until the FA signing period is over. Look at the history of Savage since he's been here. You address the needs you can via the FA market, then address the rest in the draft. CB's are MUCH more expencive than LB'ers in the FA market. Just look at recent contracts to see how true that is. So we "might" sign a LB'er and draft a CB. OR. we might sign a LB'er and draft a LB'er. But those who even BEGIN to think you can start looking at the draft BEFORE the FA signing period? Are only fooling themselves IMO So a Buckeye might be on our radar screen. But you might have the wrong buckeye.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
