Interesting point - but is it a roster bonus? If so, doesn't that mean he collects it, whether or not he shows to camp?

Its a roster bonus...and I think its in March if so that would be before any of the camps. Possibly though its in June (seems like most Roster bonuses are in March or June) still it would be paid before Training camp starts.
I don't understand why would DA not show up on his own discord??? To demand a trade? Especially if there is a new HC, thats like new life for DA...cause the statement of BQ is our QB in 09 means nothing as it was said by RAC.
Of course I don't think the fans here will ever accept DA with an open heart...he would be on a short leash with them regardless of what the NEW HC thinks.
And knowing that DA's ego is very fragile and needs that MENTAL comfort Zone he will forever....SUCK here. Unless he conquers his mental blocks of comfort...his honeymoon here is over and he won't be given the opportunity by the fans of a "season" to work things out.
Shep...it was mentioned at one point or another by RAC n Savage in the off season of year one and/or during season 2. But a very brief comment...as in "We are just in the 2nd year of a 5 year program to establish a dynasty" something to that effect...not a Headline for you to see or google. It has been...or was ran with by posters as there was a big debate about 3 years being the norm...why would they take 5 years. And if I had to be taken to task on it...I think Savage might have stated 4 years??? But I'm not sure.

No, Shep. What I'm saying is the "current talent on the field" is not being schemed properly. They are not being utilised properly. In short, they are not being motivated, coached up nor being developed properly.
I'm pretty sure you see it differently, and that's fine. But the product on the field IS a direct result of the coaching IMO.
And all the "what if's and you don't know enough of the facts" in the world does not change what I'm seeing. It also does not change the fact that over a period of decades, I've seen teams performing poorly, be turned around VERY quickly by coaching changes. And I've also seen teams fall apart when coaching changes occur.
( See the 08 Chargers as a prime example. Only two shorts years and BOOM! )
So I've seen this all before many times in many places. I know you have to. So if playing the devils advocate in this thing is what you're trying to accomplish here, bravo.
Many of our posters here have seen these same scenarios over the decades. They understand what they are seeing and the best possible scenario to turn things around.
I seriously doubt you'll convince many any different than what they have seen evidence of over such a long period of time.

It was an over-exhaggeration just to make a point that money can be a more important factor than anything.
It's highly unlikely that Anderson would get the same money on the open market this year that he'd get if he's kept on the Browns roster.
I should have attempted to be a little less devious and a little more direct.
As for the roster bonus, yes, if he's still on the team of that day, he gets it, with the only exceptions being if some kind of renegotiation or delay is worked out.
