Front right. I like to keep my phone and the keys in the front left to balance out the size difference. I'm like ammo I have to keep checking to make sure I didn't lose anything so it's easier if it's not all in one pocket. I have the phone in the left because I txt with my right hand so I can just pick it up and hold it with my left. So the wallet goes opposite to balance it out.

I never keep my wallet in my back pocket. Always my front left, or the inside pocket of coats. Your pocket can get picked easier than you think.

I was standing in line at Mickey D's once, and my friend who was sitting down waiting already saw someone stick their hand into my back pocket, and I felt nothing. Luckily, like I said, I never keep it back there.

In Which Pocket Do You Put Your Wallet?

My wallet is in my back right, my money is in my wife's purse.

I switch from left to right. I also sometimes just put it in my coat pocket. It's no wonder I lose things all the time.

I keep my wallet in my back left pocket. If I get into a crowded situation with people bumping into each other, I move it to my front left pocket. I am right handed.

Back right prolly cuz I'm a righty.

If I am in a bad area, or somewhere where I feel like I could be a target; then I take most of my plastic and cash out of my wallet and in a front pocket just in case. I figure that way, if I do get mugged I could just give 'em the wallet and they will see that I am "broke."

Suckers.

Guess I'm a bit different. I have a Costanza wallet but I actually can't put it in my back pocket for that reason... it makes sitting way too uncomforable. I'm a righty and I go with mine in my front left. I go to my cell phone far more than my wallet so I keep my cell phone in my front right and put the wallet in my off-pocket. It not only helps avoid being pick-pocketed but I get a ghost feeling when I don't have either in my pocket, meaning I won't ever lose or forget them.

That's what I call a winning strategy!

Now I'm a right, but I recently moved my cell phone to my left side. I keep it in a clip that clips to my belt. I moved it because it was in the way of my seatbelt on the right, where it's not on the left.

But over time I found I prefer it on my left, as if it rings and I'm in the middle of something, most likely my right hand is already occupied by the task at hand (get your minds out of the gutter ), leaving my left the snap the phone out of the clip and open it up.

It just feels weird to me to have it anywhere but my right rear pocket. I'm left handed so I don't think there's any correlation, but who knows?

Back right. It feels so weird if I put it anywhere else, especially the front. I don't know how you guys do it. The wallet I have is very bulky and there is no way I could put it in my front of my pants. Sometimes I keep it in the inside zipper of my coat or a suit jacket. Then when I sit down it feels weird

Count me in as one of the weird people who keeps it in his front pocket, or coat pocket.

I used to carry it in my back right, but I got tired of sitting on it.

Back left. Keys in back right. Phone in front left. Miscellany (iPod, loose change, etc) in front right. If I'm somewhere crowded or where pickpocketing is a real threat, I'll move it to the front left. My wallet is little more than a folded piece of leather with a clear slot for my license and a slot for some plastic...when folded its only about 1/2" thick, if that. If I'm wearing a suit, it'll go inside my suit jacket on the left. Those instances are few and far between, however.

Interesting results. There is obviously no right or wrong, but my friend and I were having some fun at each others expense. This is actually something I never thought much of and it grew into a completely inane and worthless conversation at work. In other words, a fine way to labor through a Friday night.

While my informal poll both here and at work found me in the minority, I was able to realize some fodder for my side. We wear uniform pants whose left rear pocket has a button (the right rear does not). I posed the argument that why would the garment maker choose this cost up option if not for wallet security...LMAO. Now I realize that there are plenty of pants that either have a button on the right or only a right rear pocket, but this point held for fort for a while anyway.

The evening long conversation branched off to many other meaningless quirks, habits and such, most of which are not appropriate for a family friendly message board.

One that sticks with me is why do Levi's have that little pocket in the right front pocket. It is too small for a pocket watch. I understand that Levi Strauss's creation came out of the California Gold Rush, but can't think of any purpose that this little pocket has (perhaps this wasn't even a part of his design?). I suppose I could Google it...maybe later. Just another example of me following one of my favorite band's advice......

...fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way

Btw, my pocket arrangement is wallet in left rear, change in left front and keys in right front. I don't have a cell phone and figure I am one of the last people on the planet without one. That is fine by me.

Don't really think there is a right or a wrong way. Hell i wear a watch on my right wrist and I heard that's not where your supposed to wear it.

That's for sure. Cause if he did, he would most certainly have other options besides stuffing it in a sock! Not that the subject matter is all that "wallet related".

I don't now about "supposed to", but in many cases, I would think it's less practical.

From a practicality point of view, IMO, the less impact and shock a watch takes, the longer you would think it would last.

So if you are right handed and lead an active lifestyle or have a phyical job, you may be putting your watch through a lot of unnecassary abuse that may shorten its life span.

Being a carpenter, using impact wrenches, playing softball and other such things would really be giving that watch a work out that would be far more of an impact of the probale longevity you may recieve from that same watch had you been wearing it on your left wrist IMO.

It's mostly affects guys that sit a lot -- lots of driving, office job, etc. It keeps pressure on the nerve for far too long causing pain and/or numbness in the lower extremity on the side they carry.

That started happening to me (my ass started falling asleep ) so I switched to a money clip that also can carry a few cards. Best move I ever made. I didn't have a Costanza wallet or anything, but I had way too much stuff in my wallet that I used way too infrequently. Now I only carry what I need, it's small (except for the wad of 50s I can't see to get the clip around ) and much more comfortable to put it in the front pocket. It's also safer.

The only drawback is a couple of times I've gotten caught out with a card or something that I wanted that I didn't have. But I've kind of trained myself to think about that before I leave the house now.

I recommend to all guys to ditch the conventional back pocket wallet and move to a fancy money clip.

I use my front right. I don't wear tight jeans so I find much more comfortable to keep it in my front pocket. I used to use my back right pocket but once I made the switch 15 years ago I found it much more comfortable. Plus it does have a certain peace of mind keeping in the front pocket. I still remember a couple times that it would fall out my back pocket while sitting down.

There are a few that will hold cards, including DL. That's what I carry. That's what I meant by a fancy money clip. There are ones out there that will hold 5 to 6 cards whether it's DL, credit/debit, COSTCO ... LOL ... those may not be called money clips per se, but I consider them the same thing ...

Can't do photos though.

Mens pants with one rear pocket, it is on the right rear. Womens pants, it is on the left rear.

so a men should put their wallet in the right rear.

I used to carry a wallet/clip like you mention, I have one in my drawer that is new but just haven't used. The one I had worn it's welcome it became so worn that It wouldn't hold the bills unless it was stacked, at least over 5 bills. I went back to the conventional model and am happy with the one I have, but I change and before I buy another wallet will use the wallet/clip I have before I purchase another wallet

What annoys me, is that I try to keep a condensed wallet.
I have my CC, my debit card, my Drivers License and a little cash.

Now that's not much, but then, I have my health insurance Card, my auto-insurance, blockbuster, a TGIF gift card, dental card, car registration. It all adds up and gets annoying.
