So what did ya think of the Steeler game? When you got the best D in football, you're gonna win a lot of games.

Everyone, welcome to my new Cleveland Browns Wide Receivers thread.

Personally, I feel that Derrick Alexander was the best wideout we had in the '90's, Webster Slaughter was the best in the '80's, Warfield was the best in the 70's, and old gluefingers Lavelli before him.

Your thoughts on my Cleveland Browns wide recievers thread?

Warfield was the best Browns WR of All-Time, bar none.

Warfield is a HOFer. -Before my time, but, from what I hear, he was tough. - On top of that, he is an Ohio State guy.

Webster will always be my favorite Brown of all time. I'll never forget Eric Metcalf hitting him deep on a halfback option against Houston in '89. As Slaughter ran into the end zone, he began pointing into the tv camera. - Channel 61 I believe. - They used to use that scene to advertise games.

Way before my time, but I've heard that "Gluefingers" Lavelli was pretty darn good, too.

I know he wasn't the best, but Dave Logan was a great one to watch. He made some impossible catches. He would snag anything thrown in his direction.

Man if only Lavelli were around to show some of these guys how to catch these days.

Great idea!

We can talk about the Clowns wide recievers and Cleveland Still Sucks at the same time!

Paul Warfileld left the Browns for the Dolphins because he realized Cleveland sucked. After the Fins, he played only two more years with the Clowns then quit because Cleveland still sucks!!

Ah yes, Dave Logan. He left for Denver because he came to the conclusion that Cleveland still sucks.

Great thread you guys started!

Like Braylon Edwards...another famous Clown reciever. He's one of the reasons why Cleveland still sucks!

Awesome thread guys!

Warfield *not Warfileld* was traded and has stated that he loved (loves) the Browns. He's still with the organization today.

How touching. He can love the Clowns all he wants, but he's smart enough to realize that Cleveland still sucks!!!

Wow that takes me back. Speaking of Metcalf, I wouldn't mind throwing him in the receivers group with some of the things he did catching the ball.

I heard he was also a pretty good returner.

A lot of former Steeler players have the mental image of his backside ingrained into their memory

Metcalf was also a great player. - A running back though.

This thread is for Browns receivers, not running backs.

I didn't know Paul Warfield was still with us in some capacity. That's cool. I wonder what Slaughter's been up to.

Heck, I forgot about Brennan. He was one of my faves. I don't know the answer to your question though.

Absolutely, because your current players are one of the reasons why Cleveland still sucks!

You can see Brennan making a few receptions in some of the Bernie videos on youtube.

Uh.. who said anything about the title? The first post of this thread started out with "Cleveland Sucks" which is the continuation of the title anyway.

I advise you not to post any old trivial thing just because you feel the urge to respond. It makes you look kind of silly.
