Boldin is unhappy with his contract in Arizona. There has been a number of reports of him wanting out. Larry Fitzgerald got a huge contract extension and with the emergence of Steve Breaston (another big bodied receiver) the Cards will be listening to offers in the offseason.

With the kind of money they threw at Larry Fitz it doesnt really make sense to offer Boldin the kind of money he will demand to stay in Arizona. It may be a good time to enquire?

Bolden for Winslow anyone. Both guys want a new deal. it makes more sense for the Browns to open the wallet to a guy like Bolden than K,. and as the poster above stated. Arizona is pretty solid at WR. How bad does AR want to replace, lets see who is there top TE, Pope???? not even sure. except that it's nobody solid. just food for thought. talk amongst your selves

Well as noted above by my "MY BAD" there is no doubt that Boldin is a talent. And I love his big body for a WR...Just like a KW2 is a mismatch as a TE cause he's like a WR...well Boldin is a WR who creates mismatches cause he's like a TE in Power.

But there also is a contradiction.

On the FA list seen (maybe not this thread) it shows Boldin as a FA but the article (I believe on this thread) states he's signed through the 2010 season. Or possibly 09 and he is a FA in 2010??? I just remember 2010 in the article.

This would mean he is not available to be gotten via FA.

This also would put us in a position of leverage when its time to sign BE to his 2nd contract. Having another WR stud.

I do like the idea of KW2 straight up for Boldin...KW2 has been a tough competitor but I think he is missing something in discipline and mental aptitude on our offense.

And is a negative in our run game. As our offense has shown...he isn't necessary to be on the field for us to succeed. Without denying he most definitely is a mismatch.

Keep also in mind...more n more colleges are opening up their offenses. I see a LOT of "GREAT" TE's coming up. I also would like to see what Rucker can provide...His hands look good, he can't be a worse blocker than KW2, he cannot be less disciplined in his routes and formations. His speed is about the same (since KW2 had his knees destroyed). But TE is a luxery item and more important as a "TEAM" player than a star. We all saw how important Shockey was to the Giants.

Ravens O for years has had Heap...big deal. KW2 is nice to have...but not a necessary piece of the puzzle. His destruction of his knees has made him replaceable.

btw - Pope I believe I read on one of those FA list...so it could be a good trade.

Stallworth in the slot??? as in Welker??? with JJ getting reps. It could become a strength as opposed to a weakness as viewed right now. Although I don't think we are as weak as many react to due the demise of our team and offensive unit.

It's far more the stink he has been raising about being traded. Plus, the escilation in his contract, almost makes it an impossability for Zona to put that much $$$ in a single position, (WR), after next year and possibly after this year.(Fitzgerald makes a fortune too!)

Boldin wants to be and has the ability to be the #1 WR on many teams in the league. Breaston is waiting in the wings and would make a fine #2 to Fitzgerald.

So I can see a fairly high probability that Zona may be willing to move him. We have BE and Winslow that nobody really knows how the FO views their future here.

So hey, while it may never pan out, I thought at least pure speculation was better than another "fire RAC rant". Don't you?

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Don't forget about Hubbard as well.. he did some good things in preseason. Also dropped a couple too. Athletically he has no equal. He's just raw... wonder if this season with our coaches and being in the nfl has done him some good in the dept. If he could develop his routes, he'd definetly be a serviceable #2.

If that's what we end up with for the equivalent of a fifth round pick, I wouldn't be too disappointed.

Yeah I did see some stone hands as well... but maybe he was just nervous, as it was his first preseason. In college he always made the tough catches. But we won't know till we see him in real game action.. probably next year.

Oh and me too....for a 5th rounder. Just people have a tendancy to build this imaginary stud being held back in some enchanted Tower. Like they are a Prince waiting to be kissed and awoken.

Btw...just what has QM been contributing in the NFL lately that we are comparing Hubbard to??? As in Hubbard's most likely result

I'd like to see Boldin here with BE...they seem to have different styles and one can be the King in their own domain. BE hasn't shown selfishness regarding sharing the Impact stage with KW2...I think he could work well with Boldin.

Also the best thing about trades is that they can be Win, Win.

I would hope in this case it would be. Zona could benefit from an Impact TE.

KW2 could benefit - With his knees (and he misses a LOOOOOTTT of practices because of those knees even if he makes the games - how convenient )

With his knees in Zona - one fo the most Arid venues in the NFL could only benefit him and possibly extend his career???

I'd love to see that trade made. Not that I hate KW2 and want him gone...But he does want a new contract...well the Devil Agent does and as good as he is I think he is Expendable and wouldn't put a dent in our future.

But Boldin would be a nice weapon for BQ...A heck of a lot better than Stallworth, who can go to the slot where he could be some good.
