According to the article there would be SOME savings because the FHA is stuck with the tab for some of these failed mortgages anyway.. I have no idea how much that would offset...

Or.. and I know that this isn't a viable option either, but since we're day dreaming and all.. how about if the government stops wasting money on a bunch of other stuff... like bridges for 40 people, teapot museums, aid to every nation with its hand out.... I know, I know.. but a guy can dream.

LOL.. I hear ya.. and yeah, I doubt it happenes. But you know what, your comments got me to thinking (such a rare event).
We have a new President coming into office in a few weeks. He's told us that it's gonna get worse before it gets better. He's told us to hang in there (so to speak) and that it's going to take hard decisions..
Well, Ok, if that's the way he feels (and I believe he's right by the way) then is it too much to ask that we STOP dishing out money to foriegn lands.. I mean, I'm fully in favor of helping poor nations and all.. But just like we americans have to find ways to economize in our own homes, isn't it only right that the Federal Government do the same?
Just wondering..
