J/C regarding the game last nite...
First and foremost, we came outta the gate FOCUSED.. We had great ball movement to start the game, and quite honestly, guys were just hittin shots...
Pick and roll D was kinda shotty to start the game.. Perkins got a few too many easy buckets early on as his guy was cheating off him to help defend the pick and roll. Brown will be all over this as the team analyzes the film of this game...
LB was amazing. Simply AMAZING.. Like some of you have already mentioned, when he wants it like he wanted it last nite, forget about it.. His ability to somehow get in the paint when Boston was packing it in in the 3rd was just awesome. Plus, the rest of the crew feeds of his play like you guys have mentioned...
Hate to say it, but we NEED an upgrade on the Wally/Sasha spot if we wanna bring home the O'Brien trophy. If we can get just an upgrade, I think we become the favorites. I don't like the way Wally played last nite, and quite honestly, I never like the way he plays. MB is afraid to play Sasha. This is a problem. We got away with it last nite, but I just don't see Wally gettin it done on the road in the playoffs.. He will get exposed.. I hope I am wrong on that...
One last thing. Boobie Gibson had a nice game last nite. Guy has a damn swagger! I loved the way he facilitated the offense at the end of the first quarter... We started out 3 strait possesions with a Boobie/Hickson pick and roll and scored on all 3. What I like about that play is that it allows LB to slash in the lane from the othe side.. Talk about stretching the floor! At this point defenses have to respect Boobie's dribble drive game as well. He does a nice job of pulling up for mid range shots also.. I love what Boobie's game has evolved into.. If he can improve his ball handling and confidence dealing with pressure, sky is the limit...
Lets not have a let up in Memphis on Tuesday nite!!

Don't even remember the last time I posted on here! Anyway, this team has been so much fun to watch. LBJ has been unbelievable, just MVP like. His defensive production this year has been even more impressive then anything he has done offensively. If he keeps this up, he could easily double up when awards season rolls around (MVP and DPOY). As Playoff said though, I think we need do need an upgrade at the 2/3 spot to get us over the championship hump. Wally and Sasha are serviceable but another good player (like a Gerald Wallace ) would probably vault us from championship contender to championship favorite. Still can't believe Damon Jones (and some change) netted us Mo Williams. His mid range game is just off the charts. Watching him throw in floater after floater is a thing of beauty. Hope he gets the nod as the second all-star selection off of this year's squad (which I would hope we would get, given the teams performance).

what up nas, long time no see...
i don't think mo is gonna get in, and it will be a complete shame...
for some reason people have this infatuation with rondo... i don't get it... he's a very good player, but he's no all-star...
the only thing he really has to show is that he averages 3 more assists then mo, but people don't realize mo is on the floor with 2 other point guards... lebron and delonte have both played point guard for extended periods of time in their careers...
but mo brought everything together for the cavs, you look at their offense last year and look at it now, and it's so obvious...
and when z is in the lineup, i believe the cavs are #1 in offensive efficiency in the nba, that says a lot since before this season we were always known as a defensive monster and offensive midget...
he brought this team together, like garnett brought everything together in boston, the celtic fans want to put paul pierce on a pedestal with jordan and magic and bird, but he's really not, he's a very good player that's lucky to have 2 hall of famers next to him...
without garnett, the celtics are pretty much a team that is in the 8th/9th spot in the conference standings, they really are.
in a smaller way, mo does the same thing for the cavs

Its been said on here before the Celtics game and many times after, Lebron is this years MVP. It helps when the Cavs have the best record in the NBA this deep into the season. He led the Cavs to a big victory over last years champs with Z. This is the year that Cleveland gets a championship (barring any major injuries, knock on wood)
I also think that he deserves first team defense. He was frusterating Pierce bigtime. Hes going to do some great things in his career. We all know it, but after the excitement of last nights game, and many others, I just have to say it.

He got fouled on that play so he just threw it up there. It's impressive anyway you look at it though...

no z, no delonte, ben out (only the flu, he'll be back soon)
it may be time to think about wally's contract, i hate to say that, but it's gotta be considered
sure, we're competing with an awful bulls team, but we won't get away with not having 3/5 starters every night.
if we somehow keep this thing going while all these guys are out, there is no doubt in my mind that lebron will win the mvp...

I think its a pretty safe bet that our home win streak is going to come to an end tomorrow, unfortunately.
Fractured wrist...doubt he'll be back until at least mid-March.

Man, could you blow two calls any worse than the non-goaltend and then then the charge on Lebron?

chicago needs all the help they can get, they can barely compete with this patchwork lineup we have out there...
and i agree, tomorrow does not look good...
although the hornets did lose to the bricks the other night.

So who's going to start for Delonte? I much prefer Boobie coming off the bench, and I don't think Wally has what it takes.

Is LeBron sick or something? He looks terrible out there.

Uggh ... a step back 22 footer for a game winner?? Lebron ... DRIVE IT TO THE HOOP! You are unstopable when you do that.
If there's one flaw with Lebron's game, is that he keep trying the long jumpers when he's not having a good game. I just wish he would realize when he's having an off night, and either drive in, or dish it off.

McLeod said he's sick a little bit ago.
Sasha's played so little this season that I forgot he was still on the team.

Yeah, I am with you...It was a decent look, but he has to go to the hole in that situation.

Bulls are going to blow this game open now, and Hinrich's foot was on the line on that shot.
Kinda sucks that this game would be over right now if they had called the goaltend and the charge right.
Edit: Game's over.

I know, dude threw it over Hinrich's head.
Doesn't matter. You can't win when you don't play D and are down 3 starters.

Ok, the Bulls are horrible at free throw shooting and we're not fouling them, and running 20+ seconds off the clock instead. Horrible time management. Tell them to get RAC off the line.

Well other than the 6th man helping out the Bulls (and I don't mean the crowd) ... Lebron had a horrible end of the game. Missed something like 13 shots in a row?? It's not just that ... it's his tendancy to keep shooting, when it's obvious they aren't sinking for him. Hard to criticize the guy ... but dang ... that hurt late in the game when all we need is a bucket, and he's launching up long fading jumpers.

I think the worst part is that you can say all you want that "it never comes down to just one play", but damned if it wasn't that non-goaltend call that was the dealbreaker. And it was sooooooo obvious. He took the ball right off the rim.

if you pin the loss on one guy...it was lebron...one of the worst games i've ever seen from him...he was hurting more than helping

I was wondering that same thing. Some night you just don't have it and he should realize that and start dishing it off. But then again with a guy like LBJ it only takes one to get back on a roll and we all know he can take over a game single handed.
Tough loss b/c a few things happened in this one, but at least it was IN Chi-town and not the Q.
Our honor defend, we will fight to the end, for OHIO! GO BUCKS!

He'll be gone, at least, a month.
you had a good run Hank.

i think lebron lost a bit of trust in his teammates, and that's really dissapointing... mo was hot all night...
big picture though, we finish the season 3-1 against a divisonal opponent...
we just have to keep this thing together until we get either z or delonte back...
getting one of those guys back will make us fine, but until then, it is going to be tough, we're still the best team in the league record wise, and teams are going to be licking their chops to get a chance to make a run at the best in the league, because they're beat up. it is going to be tough, but it's times like these that build championship teams, let's see how they respond to this adversity (or if you're drew gooden, diversity)
speaking of former cavs, great game tonight larry, you're really worth every penny of that 13 million. scumbag.

Pretty much. An article I just read says that apparently Bulls team doctors that examined him told him that he'll be fine to play in the west coast trip.
At least I don't have to worry about hurrying home after work tomorrow night to catch the second half now.

Yep...Bron's the reason we lost...He's STILL takin' those damn 20+ footers at the end...It's about the ONLY time he can pissy me off...No excuse for not goin' to the hole...Sink ONE and game over...
He was COLD...That last shot shoulda been sent Williams way...

These were my exact thoughts last night. Why can't someone tell him this before he goes back on the floor after the timeout?
