I think that the Refs will delete this thread because it's in the wrong forum.
Polls can only go in the poll forum. (just so you know)
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

The Pole forum? Is that where they're hiding the strippers!
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I voted no.
I really really don't like this dude for the GM. We went the Baltimore route with Phil and that didn't work. We need someone who has actual GM experience.
I don't like the mangini signing just cause I have heard too many bad things about him from Jets fans. Almost everything I have heard seems to be a spot on of the problems we had with Romeo.

don't know...
don't know enough about kokinis to make any real judgement, and i think it's wrong to assume he'll do as poor of a job as phil savage did, just because they held a similiar position with the same organization...
as far as mangini goes, i think it's possible he could learn from his mistakes in new york and do a good job with us, kinda like his mentor belichick did with us and then with the pats...
i like that we hired a young guy though, because we need a guy with fresh ideas, and maybe the players will respond better...
like i keep saying though, coaches, gm's, we can call for guys to be fired, and we can call for guys to be hired, but it won't matter until the guys on the field get better...
i'm ready to give these guys a chance though...

It's not if they should. It's how is it going to work out. I still wonder what triggered the sudden rush to Mangini love...

the browns head coaching job will continue to be a job set up for failure until we get the right guy picking these players...
romeo wasn't the greatest coach in the world, but he was never given good enough players on the defensive side of the ball...
you can blame him for the qb situation, for numerous other things, but defensively, this unit has never even sniffed being good enough. at times i think he even had them playing better than they were, overall, we don't have the players to complete, especially in a rugged afc north, where you can't hide your flaws....

Defensive backs can only guard receivers for so long. And, 3 guys, no matter who they are, cannot get pressure vs. 5 guys.

With his supposed genius, I expected more from the D, nowthstanding all of a HC's "other" responsibilities. It just didn't appear that he could handle it. Look at Miami; how far removed from last year's roster is this one ?? (I don't pretend to know, just asking,...)
At this level, I believe the difference is coaching. Do the Browns need some talent upgrade at certain positions ?? Clearly,....and I have been screaming for them, but I truly believe it is only a matter of "key-spot" 3-4 dudes, not 20-25.
Of course my out is, I don't have to make these calls. And I'm probably not smart enough to have brought any better a record than the 4-12 we got last year. (Some folks around here would never admit to that.)

i like both of our corners... i know mcdonald had a really bad year, but i think he along with eazy e can become a very good tandem...
and topdawg is 100% right, these guys' jobs are made impossible when there is no pass rush. you shouldn't have to cover a guy for 5, 6, even 7 seconds (see opening day)
the more i think about us bringing mangini aboard, but more i am ok with it... from what i have read and heard, the guy has an enormous chip on his shoulder... he wants to prove to new york, as well as the rest of the nfl world, that he can in fact coach...
i like the rob ryan signing, i think that guy did one hell of a job, all things considered, i think the raiders actually finished in the top 10 in total defense one year, despite them being the laughingstock of the nfl (well, the 2nd biggest)
not sure about the daboll signing, i'd be lying if i could tell you anything about him, i've read into him, he was the wide recievers coach for new england for a few years, and mangini brought him along to new york where he was qb coach...
during daboll's time in new england, he never had a great set of receivers, and at times, they were signing guys off the practice squad while competing for the playoffs... maybe that says a lot, maybe i'm searching...
it does scare me that we are once again bringing in a 1st year offensive coordinator...
but again, i don't think it's the OC as much as it's braylon not dropping the ball, the offensive line manning up (they didn't last season, they really didn't) and most importantly, handling the qb situation.
i just hope this kokinis guy can find us some good players... we need success in rounds 1 and 2, and we need some luck in the later rounds...
and you're 100% right, we don't need a complete overhaul, this is the nfl, the miami dolphins won their division and the arizona cardinals are going to the super bowl, need i say any more?

I love it just for the simple fact that most of you guys apparently don't. That means it must be good!

I am okay with the pairing, although not thrilled. I would like Kokinis to be officially signed soon.

I'm just waiting to see what Diam says so that I can believe the exact opposite.
