picked it up this week...
seems like a good game, but i am having trouble with it...
i played cavs vs bobcats, felton and augustin were hitting every 3 they shot, very very unrealistic
i know they have sliders, but does anyone know of a reliable place to get them, every forum where they have been posted has people saying it's the greatest ever...
or if anyone has a set themselves...
i really hate difficulty levels in sports games...
there shouldn't be any...
like if you're playing an nba game, the celtics should be as good as they are, the cavs as good as they are, and oklahoma city should be as bad as they are...
know what i mean?

I almost got it but decided not to figuring I'd be fine with COD5 and Madden.
I did however have last year's game and I often had the same problem you are experiencing. It really ticked me off.

I got it for Christmas but have not opened it yet.
What are these "sliders" you speak of?

you can adjust how the game is played, called by the refs, how the cpu plays, how your teammates play...
everything is pre-set at 50, you can adjust either way... 1-100...
people adjust them, and post them on forums for people to use...
i'm the kinda guy that likes a game that almost emulates the real game...
i went ahead and copied all the sliders from one forum, and adjusted a few myselves...
i figure the nba average for 3 pt shooting is probably at 35% ish... so i adjust it to that, and nobody makes 3's (lolz) so i bumped it up to 40... haven't tried it like that...
it's kind of a trial and adjust thing... can get annoying, but once you have it, it's good...
other than that, the game is phenomenal...

You can get that game for free as a demo at the Playstation store (online). It is Celtics vs Lakers and only one quarter but it good enough for me. I'm more into the Call of Duty games.

Cool, thanks for the info. I may try it out eventually. I am just so busy with GTA IV, Madden, and Guitar Hero. I don't have enough time in the day to play everything!!!

try operationsports.com. Go to the forums and find the nba 2k forum thread. Inside is a sub forum for sliders. That should help. And just in case you already new about this site and checked, accept my apologies. Good luck in your search. By the way i was gonna get this game but after playing the demo for this and LIVE 09 i decided to get LIVE 09. Its ok. I like it The only thing I wish LIVE had was throwback uni's like the ones the Cav's wore the other night against New Orleans.

no i didn't know about that site, i will check it out, thanks...
and i'm sure those cavs unis could end up in the xbox live marketplace and/or the playstation store...
stupid, but i wouldn't be surprised if they charged you $$ for them...
as if the 60 bones you payed for the game in the first place wasn't enough.
