We don't get to see this in Central North Carolina too often. So everyone is out and enjoying it. I made it into the office but the rest of the slackers are at home!

Looks like your average day in northeast ohio from December to March.

Actually, those images look like Chicago too. We've been hit with the most snow since I've moved here (2000). Fun, fun & more fun!

GM, you have no idea. Last night they closed all of the local schools before the temp's even dropped below freezing. At that point they were only forecasting snow.

I was born and raised in NE Ohio, so I know what real snow is and this is just a tease. On the flip side, we don't have snow plows, or salt trucks like the Midwest does, so as people drive on the highways and streets, all that snow turns to ice and makes it tough to drive. It can make for a bad day.

How much snow is that? Looks like an inch and a half, maybe?

It's still snowing. It's been at it now for about 5 hours or so. We probably have 2-3 inches would be my guess.

Funny you say that because that is exactly what I did to our steps into the office. I decided to go ahead throw out some rock salt too though.

My brother lives in Tenn. so I know how they panic at the first snow flake Heck I got a foot on snow in my back yard, and they have not plowed the roads in my town, or salted them yet this year.

We are lucky if they salt the highways here, they usually don't touch any of the secondary roads though. They use to just throw out sand, but a few years ago they learned their lesson.

Read that story if you have time. It took me 7 hours to get home that day. My commute is only 20 miles.

It may take some google map work but now that I have the pictures, I'll be able to figure out where you live.

The biggest problem with this snow is that last night it rained for an hour before the temp got cold enought to snow and that rain froze under the snow....

My kids are loving it, they have already figured out that since the temp isn't supposed to go back up and it's suppose to snow all day, they will not have school tomorrow either..
