How am I 2-1? My team is awful. And my durability challenged DB just suffered a major injury. Is he likely to retire after this season?
You have to remember we are all start ups, nobody is really all that good. Good gameplanning can go long way in making up any difference that there is.
I am 3 and 0, have a big matchup tonight with Dawg66 and his Cleveland team that is also 3 and 0. This game could be huge in who wins the division.

DEEP You put him on IR and he's young so he'll probably bounce back. I always put Major and Season ending injuries on IR and Mod too if its an older player. Like King said game planing plays a huge part. I've lost to teams i thought i would beat and have beaten teams i thought i would lose to all because of how i set my game plans. KING How about posting your game plan for tonight's game.

Sure my plan for winning the game is a simple one.
On offense I want to score more points than you.
On defense I want to allow less points then you.
I think if I execute that philosophy I have a good chance to win

how bad was is it.....(ie...maj6....maj12.....)...???? I think it may depend on what his durability was before the injury......I had a 2nd year DB who had a 70 some thhing durability that got a major injury...then retired after the year was over......

Maj9 I believe. And his durability was like 57, I think.

if the number is higher that means it is a more severe injury? What is the scale?

The number is how many weeks the player is injured for. The MAJ stands for Major injury.
From the Sim rule book:
INJURIES... WHAT TYPES ARE THERE? HOW DO I MANAGE THEM? In Training Camp, the more “reps” a player gets, the more his chance of injury increases. During the season, your starters have an greater chance of injury than other team members. Injuries can range from “nagging” to “career-ending”. Nagging (NAG): 1 to 3 weeks. If played during his injury, he will play at 95% of his ability. Minor (MIN): 1 to 4 weeks. If played during his injury, he will play at 90% of his ability. Moderate (MOD): 2 to 6 weeks. If played during his injury, he will play at 75% of his ability. Major (MAJ): 3 to 12 weeks. Players hurt this badly will not play. Season-ending (SEA): Player is out for the rest of the Season. Career-ending (CAR): Player is out for the rest of the season and will retire. Please note that if you play an injured player, he will have an increased chance of receiving another injury. INJURED RESERVE (IR): You may place injured players (those with moderate, major, or season-ending injuries) on IR. This frees up a roster spot to sign a free agent to replace the injured player. The player will remain on IR for the rest of the season (and can’t play in any game for the rest of the year, including the playoffs) and will recover quicker from his injury. Injuries have a cumulative effect over the course of a player’s career. The only way to reduce these effects is to rest the player either on reserve or on IR.

Yeah, like they said....the number represents the number of weeks that the injury lasts.....if it was me, I woul dput him on IR and keep your fingers crossed...but with a 57 durability, and a serious injury .....he may retire....they say (they being the designers of the site) that players that may have a high potential, but a low durability and a low current rating when you draft them are the players that could turn out as "busts"......it has happend to me twice now...once with the 2nd year DB that I mentioned earlier, and once with an OL......

Well the team that i think is cheating (in another of my leagues) made it through the season with only 1 loss and was the number 1 seed for the playoffs and they lost their payoff game. Can't wait to see what he does now that his team starts to get older and he has no draft picks for the next 3 years. LOL
King, congrats on a good game, could have went either way.

Yeah good win for you. I want to blame the scrun rookie kicker I had to sign because my kicker went on IR but in looking at the stats we both had a missed kick.
What really killed me was the three turnovers to your zero. Two of TOs were in the fourth quarter and they allowed you to score ten points to my zero in 4th and for you to come back.

Yeah, same here....I'm 3-3...and have no idea how......I should be undefeated...... ......all kidding aside......I'm right about where I thought I would be...about .500 or so mid-way through the season....my goal is to get my division and hope for the best.....my RB has been battling a nagging injury, and he is a 90+ durability, but other than that, I have been fortunate not to have any serious injuries thus far....(KNOCK ON WOOD...... )

Ok, I am 7 yards behind you and we are about 200 yards behind the league leader for rushing.......ya think we can catch him...???? Wanna hear something funny.....I switched to a passing style offense (run & shoot and a 3 WR), and I started rushing for a lot more yards and passing for less.... .....strange, but I'll take it....

Your the Saints right? If so from looking at your team i think part of your problem is you got your DL and OL guys in the wrong spots, in my opinion.

OL and DL in our league. Im hoping some of the OL come around quick, I got 3 young guys so hopefully my OL will be well improved by the end of the year. Next Draft RB, OL, DL top of the list I lost my fouts game on a last second field goal (after I missed one). Lost in our league also, but my other 3 teams won 3-2 aint bad Kickers will come back to bite you in the end in these sim leagues

I've lost my last three, I think. I've lost a pretty good amount of players to injury, and my team is just suffering. I want a high pick this offseason, and am willing to trade for it.

It really doesn't seem that any team in the league is "running away" with it....I have been fortunate not having any injuries, but I can't seem to get my gameplans right......Gonna have to start watching more game tape.....lol..

Well I'm 7-4 now. It still surprises me. My team is always outgained in yards, but we somehow seem to pull it out.
I've also been pretty lucky with injuries. Except at HB. I was actually thinking about trading my first pick in the draft next season for a young HB.

Now 8-4 with a big game upcoming versus Cincy.
Still not sure how I'm getting these wins, but I will take em. Not expecting much if I make playoffs, cause all of my rookies are starting and getting the experience.

I have Seattle in the PAYTON league, and I just made my 1st Sim-bowl game...on paper, I should win this....but that is never how it goes, my gameplanning has been pretty suspect as of late, so I will be looking at alot of film tonight.......here is my roster for Seattle...... Robinson MAJ1 5 21 87 100 65 Losing Seay and London for the season really hurt me...especially Seay. He led the league in rushing last year, and was in the running this year until his injury.....I will probably lose him to retirement this year, good thing I have 2 1st round picks in the draft with this team, I think they are both late picks, but better than nothing....I feel like it's Christmas Eve and can't wait to get up in the morning to see if I won or not....
