link Figured I'd get the ball rolling considering the big game tonight. ESPN's preview is located in the link. This game is HUGE, probably bigger than the Celtic game. Hopefully Z will be back tonight.

Well that is a bit of a bummer.. However I do think it's better to be safe about bringing Z back into the mix. I want him back on the court when he is 100%.
That being said, we may struggle in the paint a bit tonight but hopefully LeBron and Mo are on their game so we can pull it out.

If I had read that link that I posted, it was confirmed in that article.
I too would rather aire on the side of caution, than rush him back and ruin his ankle even further.
I used to call him "NoFeetus" Ilgauskas

Since his wife lost twins a while back during pregnancy... hopefully you don't call him that any more... I know that's not the reference you are making but that's sort of how people might interpret it...

I was wondering when this thread would be put up. It looks like we can cross off gerald wallace from the wish list after the flagrant elbow by Andrew Bynum the other night.
That means that Wallace and Redd are out. The trade market is getting smaller by the day.
It is nice the that the cavs are on National TV and here is to them getting a nice win on the road.

orlando shoots a ton of 3's... i honestly don't think they are that great of a team, definitely 3rd best, but i can't see them beating cleveland or boston in a 7 game series.
not that great defensively, and they rely too much on the long ball, both cleveland and boston are physical, and they take higher percentage shots...
with that said, it is going to be tough without z, who could have given dwight howard fits, still, we can win this game. no doubt.

Will we miss Z tonite? Yes... but I think missing Delonte REALLY hurts in a game like tonite. I say that cause he is our second best perimeter defender, and you can bet ur ass that perimeter rotations are gonna be the key tonite on D... These guys don't really run their offense through Howard...
Sasha needs to be nails tonite on D.. He usually plays better when guarding a bigger (stronger) player, so tonite he should feel pretty good matching up on Rashard Lewis or Pietrus...
Let's not get into a 3 pt shooting contest tonite.. We need to attack the cup and make them play a "dirty" game....

yahoo sports is reporting the finalized all star rosters and mo didn't make it...
what makes it worse is both boston and orlando each have 2, and actually, i believe orlando got 3 in...
yet the cavs hold the best record.

Mo >>> Jameer
I hope Mo sticks it to them tonight. A travesty that Orlando got 3 players and we got 1. I imagine if Z was healthy, he would have definitely made it (same with Melo in the West). You cannot deny what Mo has done for us this season. Night and day difference.

it is good that he will get a few days rest, the guy has played in each and every game...
he has never played all 82 games, and only once has he played more than 70...
so it will be nice for him, maybe he will take it to heart, and go on a tear...
still, he's played it political saying he doesn't care and is more focused on the cavs..
it'd be hilarious if he absolutely outplayed nelson tonight...

This is the first time in weeks I have been able to sit down and watch them play, Wally is playing really well tonight, I hope that continues but overall they are playing just like their record indicates and Orlando is tough too so this makes for an excellent game.

i tell ya...west can't get back fast enough..gibson has been garbage this year..he is NOT a point guard...and he don't do anything well enough to be a 20+minute SG either...and lebron needs to stop being a ball hog and pass the damn ball..he's the reason orlando got back in it...stupid stupid shot attempts...esp. when you have someone like zerbs on the floor who is on a rare hot streak...you ride that until its over.if we do one thing this game it should be denying the 3pt shot...not us..we let them have wide open looks..you make them beat you inside...hell keep putting howard on the line...and go back inside on the offensive end and make him play D..orlando is really easy to beat yet it seems like we all of a sudden forgot how to play D..anyone else impressed with kinsey..i'd like to see him get more of gibsons minutes...he's tall, atheletic and plays pretty damn good on the ball D.

yeah, lebron needs to stop taking those 18 foot jump shots with 20 seconds on the shot clock left, there is no need for it...
a ten point lead was wiped out because of that.
these guys aren't really beating us in the halfcourt game, everything is on transition, even the 3's...
and mo should be more involved.

i can't stand this orlando team.
i can't wait until they receive the butt kicking of their lives when they come to the q...
and honestly, they may win here but this team is not prepared for a physical battle in the playoffs with either us or boston. out in 5.

lebron is the biggest reason we are losing right now...he's not letting other people get involved...he needs benched..bottom line...we were doing alot better with him on the bench..and sasha needs to get involved and they need to start giving zerbs the ball again and see if he's still hot..probably not..one thing that always makes me mad about mike brown. somebody can be red hot and he'll yank him or not call his number again..if i'm the PG in this game i don't defer to lebron..i run the offense..screw him if he wants to just stand around and jack up 20ft jumpers..he's not getting the ball. he's not being a team player..seems like he always gets like this when he plays an olympic buddy, wants to do it all..we'll lose this game for sure, but tomorrow Z comes back and we can stop seeing andy and ben together so much and get back on a roll...god we miss west..i believe west would shut down any of thier guards

We are going to lose this game by 30 points, because these morons apparently completely forgot how to play defense. Chuck up a 21 foot jumper with a hand in your face and then run four guys back on D on a fast break and have them meet in the paint while Orlando sets up their shooters around the perimeter. This is sickening to watch.

I think the refs have gotten into Lebron's head tonight. They aren't calling crap when he charges the lane, so he get molested everytime he tries to go to the hoop. So now, he's just backing up and hoisting up jumpers, Larry Hughes style. I mentioned during the Laker game that I hate when he gets like this ... he gets into a funk, and then just keeps at it anyway, and just drags down the team with him. He's not exactly getting help either. Wally passed up a few shots ... Gibson is missing everything ... and we've got nobody big down low that can take on Howard and/or hit a shot outside of 6 feet.

I haven't seen Cleveland take a shot from the paint since I turned the game on. I don't think I've seen them score a point, either.
They just said that Cleveland has scored 16 points since halftime. I feel like I'm watching last year's Cavs at their worst.

Well there's not much to they can do. They drive the lane, and they either get bodied out (with no foul call), or blocked with their bigger size (we miss Z) . We have no size advantage, so we can't really post up ... so we're basically reduced to a jump shooting team. And we're cold. I think this team sort of quit after the technical foul calls. They realized they were playing 6 on 5, and stopped trying.

Dude, get a clue...
MB had nothing to do with this loss... Look, Orlando can shoot, and when you take quick shots and the long misses come out, you are gonna give up open looks in transition. Obviously that is a bad equation when you are playing the best jump shooting team in basketball... That has nothing to do with MB. It has everything to do with poor offensive decision making and just a lack of trust in teammates on the offensive end. Like Excl said, LB was a bit "mental" tonite, and he was being stubborn trying to get the jumper going..
Keep in mind our 2nd best perimeter defender is out, as well as our best big..

It's somewhat expected. We're an "emotion" team, so read victories are a little harder to get. We were like that last year ... just look at the playoffs. We're also missing two of our starters and are playing one of the top 4 teams in the league. This is exactly like the Laker game ... and in both cases, the team sort of quit towards the end ... hence the big margins.

you can't rack up techs on the road like that...
2 techs, and 2 shots from the foul, 4 possible points, on the road, can't do that.
the refs weren't great, but that's not why we lost... orlando hit their shots, and the cavs were not creative, and as mentioned, they took quick, stupid shots which led to more transition...
i'll stand by my statement that orlando won't do anything...
jump shooting teams always fail in the playoffs.
and transition buckets in the playoffs are hard to come by... especially when u play boston and cleveland.
we will lose this game, but we're still tied for the best in the league with losses allowed.

The game on Sunday at Detroit is a big one... To me, THAT is really a statement game. To lose both of our regular season games in the Palace would not be good...
Hopefully, we go home and take care of business tomorrow vs. the Clips..
And for tomorrow nite, maybe the Pistons can do us a favor and beat Boston...
