which is pure BS...seriously stern is an rtard and always has been. the best team in the league and we get 1 person in the allstar game..seriously, you take ray allen out of boston, they are still good, you take mo out, we are in trouble..maybe not as much in years past, but more than boston would be without 59 year old ray allen

See,....it's all about "yesterday." Not 'today.'

I see where you're coming from, but as little as "The All-Star Game" means to me, I'd just as soon see Mo put up 40 a game in the Eastern Conference Finals, IF such a "snub" has any meaning or emotional consequence attached thereto.

At this point, a safe assumption is that, that Series, will be the Cavs and the Celtics,...no ??

ray allen deserves to go, paul pierce does not.

i think it's kind of a joke that they snubbed us...

whatever though, you can make this a positive by setting the tone for the rest of the year.

it's us against the world.

You ain't kidding man,

One more time for the new comers: Two nights after Kobe's record-settin' 61 points at Madison Square Garden, LeBron James became the first player since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1975 to record a triple-double in a game in which he also scored 50 or more points.

Or did he? Dun dun dunnnnnnnnnn ...

Via The FanHouse, check out this clip of LeBron's questionably credited ninth rebound.

wish there was a better camera angle of the play — something from the baseline would be mint — but from the view of my non-ergonomic office chair that rebound sure looks like it belonged to Cavaliers forward Ben Wallace.

As Pollakoff points out: Big Ben controls the board with one hand, and when David Lee gets a little too close for comfort, he flips it to LeBron. No, Wallace never actually squeezes the ball, but if you were the official scorer, sans bias, who would you credit it to: Ben or LeBron? Let's hear it.

Tell ya what folks, a lot of this recent media BS is all driven by fear...

Make no mistake about it, for the first time in LB's career in Cleveland, there is a FEAR around the country that he will get jewelry in Cleveland... Media is scared of it happening...

I am not a big conspiracy theory guy or "pro sports are fixed", but what I can tell you is that this year's playoff officiating in regards to LB and the Cavs is gonna be interesting to say the least.. Nothing would surprise me...

Just like LB said above.. "Us against the World"

When LBJ got the last rebound as time expired and everyone started going nuts about a triple-double, I was confused.

Didn't watch the replay you provided, but that ninth board *was* Wallace's, and even the Cleveland announcers called it as such.

LBJ got a little superstar leeway.

The NBA took away Lebron's triple double, crediting the rebound that Ben Wallace tipped into Lebron's hands to Ben. Makes me wonder if the other 8 or so rebounds that he tipped to others were credited to him as well.

Lakers just traded away Radmonovic for Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown. My Laker-cousin texted me "Wow" and mentioned the trade, and the radio talk shows here seem all happy about it. What am I missing here? Both Morrison and Brown have been fairly big busts since coming into the NBA. Morrison was averaging less than 5 points a game this year ... and that was for Charlotte, who didn't have anyone else to go to. As for Brown, isn't this his 4th team in less than a year?

Anybody hear anything about us making a trade for Amare Stoudemire? There were some rumblings about this on an ESPN message board. I understand it may just be talk, but what do you guuys think of that possiblity?

i can't see it happening, maybe it's just the cleveland fan in me...

if miami wants him, he's gone, because word is they'll give up beasley, we can't touch that.

i still think we should go after joe smith, from what i have read we can't trade for him, however, what okc can do is release him, and then we trade a 2nd round pick to them for some low level player on their roster...

I'd rather just play with what we have this year maybe get some big man depth. Then next year sign Bosh and it'll be all over.

I agree, but the Laker fans down here are acting like this is another Gasol trade or something. I guess they think Kobe will make him better, but I just don't see it.

you have to take laker fans with a grain of salt.

most of them think they would have won the nba finals last year if bynum were there...

they'll probably sit on that boston victory all year too, as if it means anything come playoff time.

i hope we destroy them tomorrow, i am so jacked... it's like the browns, huge sunday game.

Good news here...

Windhorst (During Podcast) is saying West is GETTING READY but thinks we'll hold him out this week to give him that extra week...

AFTER THE BREAK...Save him till then with only Indiana and Phoenix this week...

Great news there...

I saw a crazy scenario somebody posited on the ESPN NBA forums that had us sending Wally and Andy to Phoenix for Shaq. Sounds pretty ridiculous, but when you think about it, Suns would be dumping Shaq's contract ($21 mil over the next two years), and be getting $18 mil in expirings. Word is that they just want expirings for Shaq to clear cap space. Shaq would expire in 2010, Wally would likely be bought out and be able to return to us this season, and I don't see us re-signing Andy so I think that's a wash. Just something wacky but interesting. The biggest downside, IMO, is that Lebron would have to carry the "can't win a ring without Shaq" stigma until 2010.

hickson getting way too many minutes..lakers are raping him. wallace is starting to look very old. don't care about your defense if you get owned off the dribble and miss dunks..we need more frontcourt help. We need to keep wally for this season. trading him i think hurts our chemistry. When west comes back..just bury gibson on the bench and let wally play.

team playing with no sense of urgency,..lebron VERY lazy this game...i would say they would sweep us in a finals with or without bynum. they are just more talented and deeper in the f/c spots then we are

i don't see how you can say that...

it's a great win for them, but it's february...

remember when we obliterated the spurs in the regular season twice, 2 years ago? didn't mean jack in the finals.

playoff bball is just dif.

tip your cap to the lakers, they played great. but there is a lot of basketball left before the playoffs start.

but, i would expect the typical knee jerk reaction from you.

also, there is no guarantee andrew bynum is back at all this year...

remember last year, he was supposed to be back by the playoffs?

even if he does come back, he probably won't be the same. knee injuries take a lot of time.

wasn't attempt at smack..don't need to, your argument was weak...and 5-20 for lebron...lazy..all jumpers...you act like your word is gospel, i've played college ball, i've played on the army team and had a workout with an NBA team...i don't need validation from anyone on this board..lebron mailed it in today..sorry , was he the reason we lost..no, but as lebron goes, so does this team if he's not being aggressive the offense relies on jumpshooting too much, so when they went cold, lakers went inside and took control of the game. that was the difference. we didn't and that was the problem the second half

seriously? do you hear the stupidity that comes out sometimes in your statments...did i say lebron IS lazy? no, i said he was lazy this game..5-20 is lazy. yeah he had a good floor game in the first half when we were rolling. but disappeared down the stretch..and i'd love to see where i bitch when they win?

basing the entire season on one game...hardly..basing on have watched the lakers and cavs individually. Lakers are just a deeper team. i would have loved to see the cavs play them with west because i think alot of people discount what he actually brings on both ends..one thing i think these games with the lakers should show is we need more depth up front..we need another 3 or 4 that can score and possible play the 5 in spot situations. 2 of our starters are on the wrong side of 30 and behind that..not much

just clicking ... some comments about the game...

--Man, I used to breathe the NBA but the older I get the less time I have for things, and the NBA is one of those things that got put on the backburner a bit. Sucks too 'cause I feel guilty pulling for the Cavs when I don't get the chance to watch much.

--The Cavs are in desparate need of an athletic big man that has some offense. Bosh anyone? Cavs would be perennial FINALS members if they could add him in the offseason.

--Jordan Farmar and Sasah Vujacic are quite possibly the two worst NBA players I've ever seen. If these guys did not play for the Lakers or Phil Jackson, I don't think they'd be in the NBA. So I find it extremely disconcerting when the Cavs guards just simply do not eat their lunch. For as good as Williams has been, he should destroy guys like that, and he just doesn't. I think Williams is a nice third or fourth piece, not 2nd piece - which goes back to my first point.

--LeBron is a frustrating player to me in that he has a part-time killer instinct. I'm sorry, but some games mandate that you force the issue and put your stamp on the game, and this was one of them. And he didn't. He played kind of laid back until midway through the 4th when it was too little, too late. Yet, he'll have games like he did against Detroit a couple of years back where he seems to understand the moment and grab it. You really don't know which LeBron you are going to get when there is a big game. I just hope that the term "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" doesn't get applied to him when it's all said and done. I don't think it will, especially if my point #1 happens.

Well, it's sad to see the streak snapped.

Lebron had a poor game. We played pretty well the first half, but it turned in the 2nd. Guess I'm glad I couldn't get tix for this game and got them for the Detroit game instead.

and i have great conversations on here all the time, hence the reason i come here and talk basketball.

but your knee jerk reactions are typical, and very annoying.
