Not a fan, just ran across the story. Him and his girlfriend Rihanna were both supposed to perform at the Grammy's tonight. Chris Brown sought in alleged beating Feb. 8, 2009, 6:58 PM EST LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Los Angeles police say they're investigating an alleged domestic violence felony battery report involving Chris Brown. The police department says in a release the 19-year-old R&B singer and a woman were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighborhood early Sunday when they began arguing. Police say Brown and the woman got out of the car and the argument escalated. Police say the woman identified Brown as her attacker. Officers say Brown wasn't at the scene. A message left for Brown's representative seeking comment wasn't immediately returned. But TMZ.com reports that the singer has turned himself in to the authorities. Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight has confirmed that Brown's girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna was involved in a car accident this morning and will not be performing at tonight's 51st Annual Grammy Awards. A Grammy representative told ET that the singer's face is slightly bruised from the accident. Their last-minute absences caused some last-minute reshuffling of the Grammy telecast, including a hastily put together ensemble performance by Justin Timberlake, Boyz II Men, Al Green and Keith Urban. Rihanna was set to be the second performer on Sunday night's CBS show, singing "Live Your Life" and "Disturbia." Instead, the ensemble performance went on after an awkward, impromptu-sounding introduction by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who had been scheduled to introduce Rihanna. Brown was scheduled as the evening's fifth performer, singing "Forever," but his performance was scratched. Not long before the show the Los Angeles Police Department announced that Brown is the subject of a felony domestic violence battery investigation. The Recording Academy said only that Rihanna wouldn't be attending. It gave no reason for Brown's no-show. Brown and Rihanna were both multiple Grammy nominees. I dont know the law in Cali but in Ohio a domestic violence charge is only a felony if you have a previous conviction for domestic violence.

Don't know, but that's interesting. Never heard about him getting into trouble before.

I just found it a little odd that they charged him with a felony. I am assuming it was Rhianna that he beat up, just too much coincidence that she canceled her Grammy appearance with a supposed " car accident" the same day that her B friend is wanted for DV. For it to be a felony he either has a previous DV conviction or he would have had to beat her very badly,like to the point of her being in the hospital.

I actually liked that performance. Hmm. Though, the Rock's intro was bad.
Anyway, it's WAY too much of a coincindence that Rhianna has facial bruising from a "car accident" the same day her bf gets popped for DV. Methinks the "car accident" is a cover up.

I could not pick either one of them out of a line up. I saw on another sight that C. Brown was arrested. I did not read the article....just figured that the running back was arrested.

MSN is reporting that it was Rihanna as well. Figured as much. Like the others said, it's kind of odd he gets arrested for beating a woman, and she gets in a car accident and bruises her face.  MSN claims he punched her in the face and bit her. Don't know where he bit her, but honestly, who the hell bites other women in a fight?

Excuse me...To me, Hip Hop, R&B, and Rap all fit in the same category ,much like metal, grunge, alternative all fit under rock.

I guess you can throw in hip hop and R&B music and generalize since sometimes they blend together, but rapping and singing are different.
