ESPN Radio just reported that an NBA source released that Mo Williams is to make the roster in place of an injured player. I did not catch that players name.

Mo is to replace the injured Chris Bosh of the Raptors.

NEW YORK -- Mo Williams will play in the All-Star Game after all.

Williams

Twice snubbed, the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard was chosen by NBA commissioner David Stern on Tuesday. Williams will replace Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh, who will miss the game because of a sprained right knee.

Williams wasn't chosen by Eastern Conference head coaches as a reserve, then was bypassed by Stern in favor of Boston's Ray Allen when Orlando's Jameer Nelson had to be replaced because of injury.

The Cavaliers were upset that they were the only top-five team that didn't get multiple All-Stars. LeBron James called Williams' omission a "total smack in the face."

Williams, who is averaging 17.1 points, will make his first All-Star Game appearance.

Bosh injured his knee in the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Feb. 4. He was averaging a team-leading 22.7 points and 9.5 rebounds for the Raptors.

The All-Star Game is Sunday in Phoenix.

Congrats to Mo... a very well deserved honor - albeit it is still a shame that he didn't get it originally.

Thanks. I searched ESPN site after I heard it on the radio but couldn't find the story. I guess I need to improve my search skills or I searched before it was posted.

It's obvious that he should have been selected weeks ago.

I wonder why the people at the top of the NBA were trying to keep him out of the all star game?

Very good to hear Yogi.

A well-deserved appearance by Mo. I just wish it wasn't this damn hard to get him in there.

Congrats Mo

for one, you cannot argue ray allen, he's the best player on his team right now...

i have a problem with the voting system, allen iverson to start for the east? he doesn't make the squad if you take out fan voting.

mo deserves the nod over him...

i love people's arguments against mo too...

"well, he's putting up the same numbers he did in milwaukee"

what do we all say around him, stats are for what? losers?

exactly.

screw his numbers, look what he's done to cleveland's offense. compare it last year to this year. look at the win total. look at lebron's numbers which have gone up, because he does more off the ball, and because there is another threat.

he deserved to go, but i love how everyone is calling cleveland a bunch of whiners... seriously, if only one celtic, one laker goes, you tellin me they aren't pissed off?

love the double standard in this ESPN society.

ESPN and the NBA's management, are doing everything they can to get Lebron outta here in 2010. - That includes sabotoging games. - There is no way they let him win a title here.
