to continue with the last post. i think it would be very important to sign miki moore, especially if boston picks up joe smith...
and yeah, moore was a pain in the rear end for a few games in that new jersey series 2 years ago. he has a decent mid range shot, and it would really just be another big body which we could use. i am all for signing him, although i'd rather have joe smith...
and back to ferry's interview with knr, i think there was some truth to it, but when asked about maybe signing a smith or a moore or anyone else after the deadline and before the playoffs, he played it off like no it wouldn't happen. i don't buy that, that is definitely him keeping things close to the vest. i buy the part about other teams asking too much for guys like stoudemire, carter, etc...
i heard new jersey wanted oberto, mason, bowen and someone else, for carter, lolz. yeah, ok nj.

Thank you,...on to the schedule. 17 at home, I figure to take 14 or better of those, and half of the 13 on the road,....say 20 wins. Looks at worst to be a 2 seed, so no Boston until the Conference Final. Hard to believe,...

I want the #1 seed.... I know Atlanta and Miami are good teams and all but taking the #1 seed means you have to beat either Boston or Orlando with homecourt, being the #2 seed means you probably have to beat them both... one of them on the road... I think there is a HUGE difference this year between the #1 and #2 seed because of the drop off after the top 3 teams.....

i think the cavs are capable of beating the celtics, even if they don't have homecourt, but it sure would be nice to have..

Oh I agree, but would you rather be coming off a homecourt series against Atlanta and playing at home against the Celtics or.. coming off a homecourt series against Orlando and playing away against the Celtics?
I think it's a BIG difference.

well obviously, atlanta, although, let's not forget that atlanta nearly knocked off the celtics last year...
i don't think they quite have the momentum they did last year, but they still have a very good core of players...
i don't wanna sound greedy, but i want homecourt over LA as much as i do boston...

HUGE difference....
Picking up Alston was a great move for Orlando yesterday... just his ability to get to the hole (something current starter Anthony Johnson can't) is gonna really let them spread the floor again like they did with Jameer Nelson....
I think we can beat Boston on the road this year..
We will find out a lot about the Cavs next week.... We have a 4 game in 5 night road trip at SA, HOU, ATL, and MIA... That roadtrip is huge, and our last real big hurdle of the year in terms of scheduling... After that we have one more 3 game trip out West at PHX, SAC and LA Clips... I really think that the 4 game trip next week is gonna be a good measuring stick, though...

that's where i'd really like to see mb make his adjustments and tighten the rotation... that 4 game set could make or break our chances at the top seed in the east and the nba...
you'd love to see them win 3 outta those 4, come off that to play a very very winnable schedule (with one slated game against boston soon after) and hopefully get the last few games to rest before the playoffs start, it all depends on our seeding..
i do love that we get boston at home late in the year, so if it's still a race, we have that in our back pocket. nice to have for sure.

According to hoopshype.com, the Boston Celtics are showing strong interest in Mikki Moore, if they sign him they will have no need for Joe Smith so hopefully he gets bought out, and we can sign him. I don't buy what all of the analysts on ESPN said yesterday about Joe Smith being a lock to go to Boston if he is bought out. I find it hard to believe that Cleveland wouldn't be his number one choice due to the fact that we can pay him more money, and he is familiar with all of our players, and has experience in our system.

I agree 100% with everything you said... I am hoping that we bring DWest back on Sunday so he has 2 games to get back in the groove before that trip...
We just need to stay hungry and focused... At this point (less than 30 games left) every game is important in terms of seeding since we are in such a tight race.. veteran leadership is very important right now... we need to play EVERY game with a sense of urgency.. games like Indiana where the team tries to coast are not acceptable anymore if we want to win home court.. keep in mind that Boston does not go on anymore extended roatrips after they wrap up their current trip, so they probably won't be dropping too many games..
The more I think about it, it's quite simple actually...
Win 3 of 4 on next weeks trip, sweep our last 2 with Boston and sweep that other 3 game trip (PHX, SAC, LAC).. I know that isn't easy, but if we do those 3 things I think we for sure would be in the catbird's seat...

That Amar'e injury blew me away. Apparently, he injured it in training camp and was supposed to wear goggles the rest of his career. He actually wore some to begin the season, but they annoyed him. He rolled the dice, and crapped out the last game they played when he got poked in the same eye again.
What a frustration for an athlete though. Its an eye. Nothing in terms of an injury that can keep him down on the bench. He can still run and jump, etc. Ferry's crystal ball was working yesterday.

dirty player.
i'd still take him on my team. lolz.
on a similiar note, that's why it's nice to have ben wallace.
anyone tries anything on lebron, delonte, mo, etc...
they deal with big ben, who would absolutely ruin kg in a fight...
and i'd take the tradeoff of having kg suspended and big ben suspended any day.

The only person on the Cavs KG would start with is Pavs. He only picks on Euros that are shorter than he is. Speaking of...anyone heard the extent of his knee injury? They flew him back to Boston and he was supposed to have an MRI today. I know they were saying 1-4 before but I didn't know if anything else has come out since then.

villanueva ejected...
horrible flagrant on andy, and then he grabbed z's throat when the big man got in his face following the flagrant.
really dumb play on villanueva's part, he was keeping his team in the game.
you have to love these guys coming to each other's aid..
we never start stuff, but if you pull cheap stuff, you're going to get heat.

Yep...And when Z was interviewed in the lockeroom...It was mentioned he will get a major ovation when introduced Sunday at the Q...His response???..."NO...I don't want that"...TEAM...UNSELFISH...
Mike Brown's a trip...So is Austin Carr...
The hotter Bron got the deeper the shots became...Heat Checks...And Brown said what he needs to do...Sit down...Be quiet and enjoy the show...lol...Don't "Over-Coach"...And I agree...
I'm watchin' this develop in the 3rd and I was doin' the same thing AC was...Chucklin' at first...Then gigglin'...Then flat-out laughin'...When Bron goes off like this it's just HILARIOUS...The shots he puts up when he's zoned in are crazy off balance never should even catch iron type deals...And they fall...It's comical to watch the defense and the HC...They're in AWE...What should I do???...lmao...
It's funny as hell cause some of these shots Bron's not squared up...And his legs are goin' all sorts o' ways...It's part of a Bron bein' on FIRE...Woulda been nice if he hit 1 more 3 and broke the record held by guess who...FERRY...And Person...Woulda loved to hear the initial conversation between Ferry & Bron after if he woulda hit 1 more...
What Bron did to start the 2nd half...And it was STARTED with Mo's steal and hoop...Was give this entire team ENERGY...Ya' ever see those bugs that lay on top of water?...How they DART when they move...Then DART again...That's what these guys looked like on the defensive end...They were all over the place...
AC's right...The Bucks are a solid team...I'm impressed they hung in there after Bron's 3 minute craziness...Even tied it back up...Lotsa teams woulda crumbled and that explosion woulda put us up by 20+ and we'da won by 30+...Bucks are tough...
Gotta feelin' Detroit's gonna get a good ole' fashioned ass whoopin' tomorrow...I mean by 30...Carry-Over...
Go Browns!!!

yeah it was nba jam like last night...
and i agree, the bucks are tough, they will probably grab a 7 or 8 seed...
scott skiles teams are always hard working... i don't think the guy has ever really been handed a legitimate roster... maybe a halfway decent team in phoenix...
we also grabbed a bit of luck as the spurs lost ginobili for a few weeks, and we play them in a week. they can still beat us, because they can overcome things like that, but you have to love our chances, ginobili has burned us so many times that we should really own the backcourt, esp with west being back.

did anyone see barkley's return to tnt the other night, and his words in the open?
seriously, a-rod should watch that and take note, that is how you apologize and hold yourself accountable, you don't get coached up, you don't read from cards, you don't dance around the truth, you go up there and speak from the heart.
i know dui's and steroids aren't the same thing, but they're both unacceptable.

Looks like West Starts tonight...Very good...
West (broken wrist) to start Sunday Comment Email Print Share Associated Press
CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers guard Delonte West has been cleared by doctors and will start Sunday night's game against Detroit, his first action since breaking his right wrist in January.
West missed 16 games with the injury, which he sustained while trying to block a shot on Jan. 2 in Chicago. The Cavs went 12-4 without West, their best perimeter defender who is averaging 12.3 points, 3.5 assists and 3.1 rebounds.
While West was out, the Cavaliers, who lead the Central Division by 15 games, also had to deal with injuries to center Zydrunas Ilgauskas and forwards Ben Wallace, Tarence Kinsey and Sasha Pavlovic.
West's return means Cleveland will have its starting lineup for the first time since Dec. 30.
Go Browns!!!

here's something....
Given the fact that the salary cap is expected to drop in 2010...would it make sense for LeBron to re-up this offseason?

My gut feeling(lol start the Butch Davis comments) is that Bron is planning on signing the extension in the offseason.

If it looks like we will not have enough room under the cap to sign another big name, then he might sign this offseason...
Joe Thomas made Justin Timberlake change his name. He didn't want wusses to have the same initials...

Good to see (at least in the stat line) that Delonte had a huge night and isn't rusty from missing so much time.

Man, it's great having our starting 5 back FINALLY... and especially Delonte. It may not show in his individual stats, but we're a much better team when he's on floor.

I hope this is foreshadowing of what is to come. We looked like a completely different team when he was on the floor again. Last night was just fun to watch.
