I tried getting tickets for the Cubs/Indians game at Wrigley Field on June 20th. The single game tickets went on sale Friday so I went on there site and clicked the game I want and got put into a virtual waiting room. After 3 hours, it said that game was sold out. Do any of you Chicago people know of any good places to get Cubs tickets? Everything on Ebay and Stubhub was going for at least 3-4 times the face price...

Wait till a week or so before the game. You'll be able to get them half price.

i would definitely wait until the season starts...

craiglist ain't a bad idea...

i looked on ebay too, and people were asking outrageous prices...

the thing is, if you have ever been to wrigleyville, there are quite a few cleveland/ohio people there... a lot of transplants... and a lot of post-grads... it's got a huge college type following, all the big ten schools have their own bars and stuff.. (check out mickey's for the ohio state atmosphere) so i expect a very large tribe presence that weekend.

i'm gonna try and go to 2 of the 3 tribe games, but i'll settle for one...

you can also go down there the day of the game and maybe get a deal...

if the cubs turn out to be crap, it'll be easier, and i have a feeling they won't be that great this year...

Sorry you did not get in. My wife is a cubs fan and I am an indians fan and I wanted that game too. Luckily when I got in, they still had some of the Friday games for sale.

As most have said. Wait a little while for looking if you do not want to pay the exorbitant prices on stub hub.

On a side note. I absolutely hate the virtual waiting room. I too spent over 3 horus in it before I could get in. the worst part was I got in at about 12:30 and the stupid website had an error in sending my request and kicked me out, and I had to wait all over again.

Good luck getting the tickets.

I was trying to do the same thing this weekend and got shut out. I see bleacher seats going for 100 minimum on stub hub. Stinks. I went the last time the Indians played there. Got tix with no problems. I sat in the front row in in Left Center Field bleachers and had a great time. Seems like it was yesterday, but to show how long its been since the Indians played there, our team consisted of:
Lofton, Shawn Dunston, David Justice, Thome, Manny Ramirez, Travis Fryman, David Bell, Eric Plunk, Hard Hittin' Mark Whiten, Omar Vizquel.

bleachers go for 50+ regardless... i've even seen them going for upwards of 200-250 for cubs/sox, which is always the hottest ticket of the year.

cubs games have become a thing to do since 2003... before that you could get decent seats.

Shawon Dunston, that guy was a hell of a defensive player. Chris Sabo couldn't hold his jock.

I was in the virtual waiting room the minute they started letting people in and still didn't get any. I could've got the Friday game, but I can't make it there since it's a day game.

Hopefully I can find a good deal down the road a little bit. I would definitely like to go to Wrigley and we don't play there very often...

So I ended up getting tickets My Dad has a cousin in Chicago with season tickets, so they are giving me their two (one of them for free). I bought the other 3 on Stubhub for $70 each, so we're just gonna split it 5 ways.
