Let me repeat this so everyone hears this....

ROY WILLIAMS IS NOT A GOOD SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only way he can salvage his career is to become a linebacker is a Tampa two system. Roy can not cover anyone. He is worse than Sean Jones. If he were any good, the Cowboys would not have cut him.

As for T.O. the only teams I think will take a hard look at signing him would be Jags, Ravens, and Jets.

Feel better? Good. Now you can stop yelling.

First, Roy Williams plays Cornerback, not safety. He would be better as a safety in my opinion. Strong safety to be specific as he lacks the cover skills needed to be a shutdown corner. His hitting ability is, again in my opinion, unquestioned. He is still young (28 I believe) and can be useful.

Trying to switch him to an entirely different type of position (CB to LB?) where he would be exceedingly small would be a very bad situation. And there are not a lot of teams that run a Tampa Two system anymore. Even Tampa isn't running it.

Roy Williams is a strong safety. He got benched during the year on passing downs due to how horrific he is in coverage.

Sources: Owens, Bills agree to dealComment Email Print Share By John Clayton

T.O. Ranks
Terrell Owens is in the top 10 in most career receiving categories, trailing only former teammate Jerry Rice in touchdown catches.

Owens All-time
Receptions 951 T-6th
Yards 14,122 5th
Touchdowns 139 2nd
Yards/Game 74.7 10th

It didn't take long for T.O. to find a new home.

Terrell Owens has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to sources.

The Bills called a 6:15 p.m. news conference Saturday to announce the signing. According to a source, the entire contract is guaranteed.

Owens visited the Bills on Saturday. He was released by the Dallas Cowboys late Wednesday.

Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said in a text message Friday that his client wouldn't be out of work for too long. Negotiations had begun with several teams, Rosenhaus said.

"There are several teams that are interested in signing Terrell," Rosenhaus said. "I have been in negotiations with these teams. I will not identify the teams at this time. Terrell and I expect to have a deal in place by the end of next week if not sooner."

The Cowboys paid Owens a $12 million signing bonus last year, which was included as part of a new four-year, $34 million deal. Dallas took a roughly $9 million salary-cap when it released of Owens.

There has been talk since the end of the Cowboys' 9-7 season, in which they missed the playoffs, that they would consider cutting Owens to improve locker-room morale.

Owens finished with more catches (69), receiving yards (1,052) and touchdowns (10) last season than any player on the Bills' roster.

The Bills were in need of a receiver to take the pressure from Lee Evans. They got one of the biggest names out there.

The question now is how T.O. will deal with Trent Edwards, who is only entering his second full year as starter. Owens has made life difficult for quarterbacks in the past and joins an offense that struggled mightily last year.

The Bills were 25th in the NFL in yards gained and failed to have a 300-yard passer.

I don't see this working out for the Bills or Owens.

How many balls is he going to get in December, in Buffalo with the high winds??

The bills have 2 good backs, they are by no means a team that throws first, plus Edwards isn't even proven as a Qb, at least not like Garcia, Mcnabb, or Romeo.

I also don't think Owens will be a hit in Buffalo if he acts like he has in the past.

I agree...the person I see this benefiting the most is Lynch or Jackson...depending on the legal issues with the Lynch.....and I agree with the fact that this will probably be a one and done year for Owens and the Bills, cause when the weather gets crazy, it will be hard for him to catch anything.....and we all know whay happens when T.O. is unhappy......I was really surprised to hear that Buffalo got T.O.....I guess desperate times call for desperate measures...and Jauron is a little concerned about his job security....

Why do they even mention stats like these in this context? Like it has anything at all to do with the Bills. If he made those stats while playing on the Bills it would pertain. But he didn't so it doesn't. If they bring all the Cowboy's players to the Bills he may do it again. But they won't. So what's the point?

I can see this working for a year. Owens usually keeps his mouth shut and his attitude in check for the first year he plays for a team. It's only in year 2 and beyond that he becomes a total ass.
