So I get all upset, then they change it to a make like 30 seconds later... It's quite annoying. Especially when the game is on the line and the FT's mean something!

that was was awesome. i don't think i've ever seen that before, especially in a situation where you absolutely needed it.
a few things from this game...
mo williams. not a great game at all. but when we needed him to come up big, he did. he has done this almost every single night over the past 3 weeks. hitting huge shots, a lot of them on the road too. his 3 late in the game on the pick and pop was huge in this game and really swung the momentum.
andy. this guy is balls out for 48 minutes. a huge offensive rebound late in the game. he never quits. he never goes less than 100%, his motor is constantly going, he seems to have that extra gear that lebron has, maybe not to the extent that lebron can with his scoring, but with the little things he is just like lebron, he makes it happen.
ben wallace. we miss him on defense, we don't really get the stops like we need to. it's great that we are somehow winning these ridiculous high wire games, but we need him back if we're going to achieve the ultimate goal, there is no question about that.
by the way, chicago leading boston late in the 2nd quarter.

I'm not saying it's not important,...it's just not AS, as the Browns are, in my opinion. I don't expect anyone to understand that,...it's just my feeling. Even though I am pulling for the Jackets because I live here, it won't be a big deal to me if they even get out of the first round. Looks like they're gonna make it, and for hockey fans, I am glad for that.
I WILL bounce off the walls if the Cavs win, but no one can tell me it will be as the same for me if the Browns ever do. No way.
Another good come-from-behind tonite. Didn't think LBJ "should" have taken that last three, but glad he did !!

fair enough. i'm definitely more of a browns fan than a cavs fan, even if i am somewhat of an nba junkie, but i am jacked about this team. and with the browns in full blown rebuild mode, i think that enhances what the cavs are doing. this town is overdue for a title and these are the guys that will do it.
i agree about lebron's 3, but i think he was really feeling it, i don't think he takes that shot unless he has full confidence. he knows where his bread was buttered, but at that moment in that game, he knew he had the hot hand.
as far as the jackets go, i watched them the other night, they're gonna be a very tough team in the playoffs, they are built like a good nhl playoff team, physical, defensive minded, opportunistic. and this mason fellow is extremely sharp.
helps havin #61 too, that guy is the lebron of hockey. 6'4" 220 with hands of gold.

We ain't there yet, but they're definitely up there in the NBA elite; probably about as close or closer than the Indians were in 97,....I don't count the Cavs vs. San Antonio-----knew we would get outclassed there.
Tribe should have beaten Boston two years ago,..that still burns my can.
You're definitely right about the Browns,....it looks like rebuild to me.

yeah. it's kinda depressing, but at the same time, i can't speak for everyone, but it seems like the right thing to do. it just sucks knowing we'll have a few more seasons of misery.
the way i see it, we were gonna have misery anyways, so why not stockpile draft picks and start bringing in the right guys.
it's almost the oppo of what phil was doing.

This situation reminds of the three years the Browns were gone. The Indians provided plenty of distraction.
Now, the Cavs may not only keep us occupied, but actually end the drought. They've definitely got weaknesses, but who doesn't. They've proven to me that they can beat anybody, even the Lakers.
We'll see what happens with the Browns. I agree about the rebuild, but I don't think they'll be that bad. They still have talent left...allbeit not as much as I'd like, but hey...

That's what worries me ... we seem eerily close to the '97 Indians. I just hope it doesn't come down to another miserable "we should of won that" loss.

yeah, i mean, if we can fix the qb situation and get it solidified (easier said than done) then you've got a good part of the battle right there.
what i do love is that we have 3 top 50 picks...
and i agree so much about the cavs/tribe comparisons...
this year is starting to turn into 95. all the comeback victories, the sell outs, the dominance at home, and the clinching of the division extremely early, they're like the 95 indians with pitching.
i love that the town is completely behind these guys too.. people that don't normally watch basketball are into it. it's a breath of fresh air. instead of pounding your head at the browns, you can pound your chest to this cavs team. they are really fun to watch, and it seems like they all really take to each other, they always have each others backs...
i love when a guy goes down and seems like he may be a bit banged up, everyone races out to make sure he's ok...
and you gotta love the cavs bench, the biggest party in the building, those guys are constantly going crazy and keeping the guys on the floor energized.
you can rip mike brown for some of his philosophies, but he has built the true essence of the word team. kinda funny considering the whole cavalier "all for one" motto, isn't it?

I admittedly was very hard on Mike Brown...mainly because of his offensive sets...or lack thereof. One thing I can't take away from him is his "ring generalship", so to speak. He's the perfect coach for this team. He keeps them confident, but humble. Win, lose, or draw (in regards to a title), I think he wins coach of the year, hands down.

with this cavs team, in the past, i don't think you can blame droughts or curses on them not winning it all...
the first year they made it, they could have beaten detroit, they had their chances, but they weren't better than the pistons.
the next year, they shocked the pistons, and lost to the spurs. as much as that sucked, the spurs were clearly better.
last year, same thing, cavs took boston further than any team, but boston was the better team and proved it when they won the title.
so, the way i see it, so far, it's a building process. it's not like the old indians teams, especially that '97 team, that was the better team and should have won....
peen always says that anything short of a championship is a complete failure.
i don't agree with that, but in this case, with this cavs team, it is turning into that.
although i'm not afraid of them losing. that's why i say we got nothin to lose.
this team has shown a ton over the course of this year, on pace for 60+ wins, maybe even 65 wins...
and through the league screwing them on 3 sets of 4/5 nights, the injuries, and various other stuff, they have still come out and are right now among the 2 best records in the league. that says a ton.
they have their weaknesses, they lost twice 2 the lakers, they had an ugly loss a few weeks ago to boston, but overall, this team is right there.

My sentiments exactly.
They've proven they have what it takes. They've beaten teams by 20+, they've won close ones, and buzzer beaters. They know what it's like to lose them too. It's a battle tested team, that has tasted playoff success.
What's not to like? I think we as Clevelanders are just so used to disappointment, that we can't enjoy a good thing when it happens.
The next progression for us would be to at the very least, win a game in the finals. But I believe they want more than that.

I think Cleveland wrapped up homecourt advantage in the east tonight. 4 1/2 games up on Boston. I'll be watching the Lakers more intently now for homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs

Pistons lose too. Not that it matters at this point, but I want us to have won our division by the largest number. Right now it's 20.5, which is tops in the league. This is by far the best season of Cavs basketball I've ever seen...hell, probably anybody's ever seen.

they have that toughness that the price/nance/daugherty teams lacked.
although it'd be nice to have those big guys from the old cavs days down low... daugherty and hot rod...
philly is hangin tough with the lakers right now... hopefully i wake up and see a 76er win...
great night for cavs fans though, big win over a top echelon team, and boston loses.

jc If we get home court I think we can definitely take Boston. We haven't faired well against the Lakers this year, so I am concerned about facing them in the finals. We can always hope for an upset in the western conference.
