So, my world tour continues, and now I'm in Charlotte, NC for a couple of weeks. Looking for the usual input. Food and entertainment.

In my own limited experience, I've found Charlotte to be boring as hell when it comes to entertainment and night life.. there are some wonderful restaurants out in the south park area north of town.. (insert Cartman jokes here)... but downtown just seems dead. I was there last summer and had to walk 8 blocks to find a decent bar and even it was a sports dive with not much going on... Hopefully somebody else can be more helpful.

Not here.......only been there a few times and not much to distinguish.

I do remember pretty neighborhoods with lot's of really big trees...10 foot in diameter jobs.

Yea, some beautiful neighborhoods, seems like a great place to live...... How could you not love a city where you can buy a home at the intersection of Billy Graham Parkway and Dale Earnhart Boulevard...

I just don't think there is a thriving downtown nightlife....

Sounds like HELL to me!!

My hotel is off of Billy Graham Pkwy

Well, today was my first work day here. It seems ok so far. It's 88 degrees outside...can't beat that.

Welcome to the south Bubba....Bubba is a good thing down here

It wasn't that warm here, but my A/C is running as I type.

May have inched near 77 or so

No problem man....I used to live in the north where you would have been Buddy.

I take back what I said before....a quick check showed it is 80 right now and hit 84 earlier.

No wonder it felt warm......it was!

So what are you doing if I may ask?

In that amount of time, you might become a Nascar fan

Have a good stay....sorry I couldn't tell you more about Charoltte.

Never went there on extended business and have only been there 2-3 times....and each was more a stop over type deal rather then a destination.

So what are time studies?

I envision you sitting there saying..."Yep, it's noon....tick.....tick.....tick....Yep, it's one".

But I'm guessing that's not it......

thanks!

I doubt I'll ever come around to Nascar...I could sit in traffic and watch people make left turns all day.

Two bars I was VERY fond of there --- Stool Pigeons which is an Ohio State bar, and Cans , hell, they have a KISS pinball machine which immedietly won me over. Both great spots. Charlotte is a great town.
