When people aren't who they say they are, or pretend to be something they aren't, it really bothers me. Does anyone else feel this way? I actually cared about someone that, most likely, doesn't even exist. I hope the game was fun for him while it lasted...because it's now game over.
Edited to be blunt..."Coach B", if you are out there reading this, I felt badly for you before, but now I just feel sorry for you.

Yes, I've had feelings similar. It really sucks when you figure it out. I'd like to tell you that it won't happen again, but the truth is some folks enjoy that crap and will try to take advantage of you.
Hope you feel better. You're not alone.

Well , we have discussed this pretty extensively in PM's and I have told you basically the same thing. I cant believe I actually felt like shedding a tear for a guy who was a big fraud and was playing games with us. At first I felt bad that I prayed for the guy, but now, thinking about it, I am glad I prayed for him. Someone who would do what he did needs all the prayers he can get.

I'd say 5% of the population represents who they say they are. Proust had a quote about how most people in our lives are pigeonholed into what we want them to be by our own minds...attributing characteristics, finding them where they aren't, believing in those who sing-and-dance for us because we desperately want what they're selling. To steal an old joke...join the club, it's called 'everybody', we meet at the bar. The pain and anger will pass.

Coach B and Coach B's son was the same person. Coach B was not a college coach nor did he ever play pro ball and his son was not a college player.
Not completely sure on the cancer thing but Coach ghosted with his Coach B's son screen name to try to make himslef more valid

I've heard as well.
I'll never understand some people. It's sad that someone needs attention that badly that they could possibly take things that far. It's sad.

Man, thats pretty messed up, I mean, he has been posting here long before me I think, that takes a lot to "build" this other person, character, whatever. That dude has some serious issues he needs to work out.

Holy Cow! This is the first I'm hearing of this, although I'll admit I miss a lot of things.
I always thought CoachB had an inside ear to things. All a lie?
What's the full story on this?

Yeah but the father and son was one therefore it is singular, he.
Maybe he was from Pittsburgh. You know? father and son at the same time?

With information that was checked, double checked, and triple checked by several people. It is 100% accurate, otherwise this information would never have been put out.

I'm sure there's a reason you came to this conclusion. It's surprising to me given Coach's longevity here. Not really sure what they were thinking if this is true. Pretty incredible...

I hate to derail from Michelle's original post, but I just have to see if someone would give us a rundown of what the heck happened with CoachB.
I know I was sure fooled.

Just by chance someone read my post in The Message from Coach B's son thread and contacted me VIA PM(if that person wants to let themselves be known then that is their choice). That person had some info and it fit right together with the info I had and we were able to involve a few other people that helped with research and we were able to prove that they were the same people and all the stuff about Coach Bs coaching and playing career was a lie.None of the info we had was assumptions or rumor or anything. It was all confirmed to be true. We know Coach B's real name, where he lives and his sons name. With the claims that Coach made to me personally it was not real hard to check up on things. There are no secrets on the internet.

No offense, but it's pretty easy to fool people on the internet. It's sad people hide behind a persona of their own making, as if it makes them more legitimate, more real. Look no farther than myspace. Sorry people are crappy DM.

Basically CoachB went too far when he came on and ghosted as his own son. he hung himself right there because of things he had told me in the past and when the other person PMed me and gave me his real name(which was confirmed) that completely hung coach out to dry.
Also when registering a ghost to carry out a complex lie it really raises some flags when you register that ghost with the same email name that you registred the original post as.

No way...
To be honest, I thought the kid was a little too bright and humble for an 18-19 year old football player. 6'6"??? Let's be real here.
Coach definitely sounded like a coach, and the stuff he did say definitely sounded true to word, especially when it later came out.
My only explanation is same laptop/same IP from living in the same house.
It doesn't make much sense to me because Pdawg did some internet detective work/borderline stalking and had a pretty good pulse on who B supposedly is.
Hmm...

If this is true, it kinda bums me out that I didn't say some of the stuff I was thinking in those threads, now that this has apparently come to light. I wished no ill will towards the persona he created, but I couldn't stand the guy he pretended to be. I feel bad for those of you that counted yourselves among his friends, because this has to feel like a serious betrayal.

j/c I won't say what my feelings are right now. I WILL say that I am the person I represent myself as. Some may like it, some may not, but with me, what you see (read) is what you would get in real life. Apparently that is not so for some others. I still have a hard time believing it was a lie...........he had me hook line and sinker - and I hate to admit it.

The thing about it is that everyone, well a lot of us are like a little extended family on here. Some people on here hang out, have met one another and have pretty good conversations about some tough situations with those who we feel are friends. Like buying tickets, which I did off of Michelle, who was cool about it and gave me a great deal. More than I would have expected.
And I've met others on here, like GM, Pdawg and 337 (where are ya bud?) to name a few. Pdawg never met me before, and gave my daughter a Browns cheerleading outfit. To me, that said something. There's a lot of quality people on this board, and it's sad to see someone take us all.
Then when something like this happens, you take a step back and realize that we don't know everyone on here like we think we do. You think you know everyone on here like they are a friend, but they are just some sad little person scamming everyone for the attention. I can tell you that I'm pretty much the same person on here as I am in real life. Unfortunately, it's not always the case. "Coach" just took things way too far for too long, and I was very surprised to hear it when I did.

I just said in that thread to CoachB's son that his dad had told me a while back where he was coaching and where his son is playing. Well when the other person gave me his real name it made it easy to check that. Plus giving out his measurements was pretty dumb. Also I knew the area where Coach B lives so it was easy to research schools within driving distance of there for the name and LB's that were anywhere close to those measurements. I mean a 6 foot 6 LB will stand out on a roster sheet.
