I stand by my belief that money had something to do with it.. But I will admit that I'm happy if I'm wrong in one respect.. on the other hand, it then means that Rodgers is a 350 lb crybaby over imagined slights by the new coach.

So for me it comes down to pick your poison. he's either greedy or a crybaby... neither is particularly flattering...

I don't have a pony in this race, so here's my take...


I have been open to both the ideas that the Rogers situation might be about $$$ or could just be about a hyper-sensitive athlete (maybe Mangini used the word "Jesus" inappropriately and Rogers overheard him).

If Rogers is participating in the offseason programs and we don't hear anything more from him, then it almost definitely was NOT about $$$. Have we ever seen a situation where an athlete gives up on chasing a contract before training camp when they can put more pressure on the team?

Now, if it is about the $$$, then it is still possible that Rogers has told them he will play good soldier if they will talk $$$ with his agent. If we hear about a new contract before training camp, then it was about the $$$. Also, if Rogers mysteriously gets upset again right before training camp and threatens to holdout, then it likely could be about the $$$ as well.

Just my take on things.

Maybe they actually resolved their problems. Maybe Mangini admitted his mistake and Rogers came back.

At this point, who cares as long as he is back.

And nobody will be able to prove I was wrong.. it's all speculation since we aren't privey to the inner workings and discussions that took place..
