Alright...I'm back and curious about your stories about things that happened in your life that you will never forget. Stretch the truth, elaborate a little bit, and have fun with it. This is something that happened to you and how you remember it makes it a unique and authentic story! I'm excited to hear these...
I will never forget when...

I'll never forget when some idiot created a fake identity and fooled many people for 7 years before being caught.
On a more serious note, I'll never forget standing at my grandmothers deathbed and watching her last moments on earth. She told us she loved us all and then passed away.

I'll never forget when Korean Airlines flight 801 crashed into the side of the mountain in Guam. I was onboard ship when we felt the whole ship move. Which is quite a feat to get a moored ship to move.
Anyways, it took about 15 - 20 minutes before the General Alarm sounded. Which anyone who's been on board a Navy ship can tell you, isn't something you like to hear, and they started asking for volunteers to search for survivors. I won't go into the details, but It was by far the most disturbing time in my life.

I stole home in a tie game in the bottem of the 7th to win a tournment that put our team into a state tourney where we lost but I pitched against Ken Griffey Jr two times and Stuck him out twice.
Being at the Richfield Colesium for the Jordan shot I sat real close too, Ugggh

LOL @ Phil.
I'll never forget the playoffs of little league baseball where I hit four homeruns in 5 games.
And we won the championship! (that was the stretch of the truth...we made it to the championship game but lost) The pitcher wouldn't even pitch to me, I was 0-1 with 2 walks in the title game...I got impatient, knocked one to dead center and it was headed out until a jumping grab got me out.

I struck out 20 of 21 batters in a pony league game. I didn't get the 21st strike out because I walked a batter and the coach had him steal 2nd and then stop halfway to 2nd where we tagged him out. That day I had the best curveball of my life. The ball would actually start off behind the batter and break over the plate for a strike.
Then I had another where it was almost like a scene out of Major League. Where the other team's best hitter was up and I just threw 3 fastballs right by him to get us to the top of the eighth.

When I was 12, I played in the NABF Regionals (which we won and ended up playing in the NABF World Series)... But, I was never a great hitter, but my coach couldn't take me out of the line-up because of my glove. But this tournament was a really bad slump...
Well, we only had one close game in the Regionals... In the semi-finals.... We were tied 3-3 in the top of the 7th (we only played 7 innings), and I came up with runners on 2nd and 3rd, two outs... For some odd reason, my coach left me in... I was like 0-17 in the tournament to this point. I hit a gap in the outfield and scored both runs to give us a 5-3 lead, which we eventually held on to in the bottom of the 7th... It was my only hit of the tournament.

I'll never forget breaking par for the first time. I had a magical front nine that ended at 6 under, sudden realization set in and I had nine holes to go to get that score into the clubhouse. I lost one shot to par on the 12th and carded a 65 on a par 70 course.

The Greyhound pulled out of Youngstown for the ride to the Cleveland processing station, leaving Mother standing there crying. At that moment I could not help wondering why ? Later that night, I would pass through the portals of Parris Island, for the beginning of what has been most of my adult life.
I have never forgotten since, to learn from the acts of others.

There are so many things in my life to remember, going to Euclid Beach Park, the Apollo Moon missions, ect and so on, But I'll never forget my first time at the helm of a ship at sea, It was a calm night on the Atlantic, lot's of activity on a bridge at night, I'm trying my best to maintain the present course, when suddenly the OOD says come about One Eight Zero!....eeeks I gotta turn this big sucker around!!! everybody on the ship knew a rookie was at the helm, that DDG kept bobbing back and forth for the next 20 minutes, after it settled down I was rotated to forward lookout, which was normal rotation of the watches. But the day I got married will always be my best memory.

Aside from the family stuff, I remember when I was 20, summer after my sophomore year at Maryland... I had played golf that morning and was ready to start my shift as a lifeguard at the pool... one of the boys that came to the pool every day (about 13 years old) came up to me and said, "Lenny died." And I said, "Lenny who?" ... and he said, "Lenny Bias." I didn't believe him until somebody else confirmed it a short while later.... I loved watching him play.

I'll never forget the night my Mother died . As sad as that sounds the part I'll never forget is the actions of her little dog. My Mother was home from the hospital with terminal cancer and hospice was there for comfrt ( these folks are angels ) and since we knew what was coming alot of the tears had already been shed. Her dog ALWAYS slept by her side and that night was no exception and he was there with her when she took her last breath . The hospice nurse got literally attacked by this ferocious 7 pound beast when she tried to get close so it came to us to remove the dog. This dog loved the whole family but on that night no body could get close and we finally had to throw a blanket over him and lock him in a bedroom till it was all over . My sister and I had a chuckle over who was going to look out for the chihuahua of death but 2 days after Mom died the little thing left and was never seen again.

I saw a woman and her 2 week old baby killed in a car accident. I can still hear the screams of her husband who was thrown from the car as he was in shock, and I remember the constant crying of the other 2 kids in the backseat. Let's just say it wasn't a pretty sight.

On the lighter side ... this thread reminded me of one of my favorite Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey.
The memories of my family outings are still a source of strength to me. I remember we'd all pile into the car - I forget what kind it was - and drive and drive. I'm not sure where we'd go, but I think there were some trees there. The smell of something was strong in the air as we played whatever sport we played. I remember a bigger, older guy we called "Dad." We'd eat some stuff, or not, and then I think we went home. I guess some things never leave you.

This would make a good facebook note. Lot's of things I'll probably never forget. Other than the usual family events and tragic events ... I guess I'll never forget hitting 4 homeruns in a single little league game, then hitting 5 homeruns in a game some 20 years later. (Plus wondering what might have been had I focused on baseball in all those years between) I'll never forget graduating college either. I basically put myself through it, and was the first person in several family generations to get a college degree.

I will never forget how everything was a blur as I walked across the stage to get my college diploma and my law school degree as well as my certificate after passing the bar exam. I don't remember specifics because it seemed like it was in slow motion.

Reminds me of a predicament I was in once. I was left of the green behind a straight line of a half dozen trees with each separated by about 3 or 4 feet of clear space. The trees were probably about 20 foot high. It was early spring with little foliage and the proper shot would probably be a punch. The thing is I'm a hack and the execution of such was in question. I decided I would try to go over and grab my 9 iron. Nice loft and right at the pin, but.......out of bounds in a fenced pasture directly behind the green. Great shot with the wrong club. I dropped another ball by the fence with a smile on my face.

the night i lost my virginity... cuh-razy, didn't see it coming, was absolutely in love with this girl, i was 18, she was 21, she was hot, i figured a punk kid like myself had no chance, she waited tables when she wasn't at school, we worked together, and we flirted, but i always thought she was just messin around, she planned the whole thing out. i walked around with a smile on my face for a month straight.
my first nhl game, my cousin was a play by play announcer for various nhl clubs, when he was in florida doing the panthers broadcasts, he got us tickets to see the panthers in detroit versus the red wings, '96, the year they went on to win their first cup in a long time. joe louis is a special place, and i know detroit has a bad reputation with their fans, but red wings fans could not have been nicer.
breaking my finger in little league, still to this day the only time i have broken a bone *knock on wood*
my first night in vegas.. so much fun. although i wish i could have gone out there as a single young man, my girlfriend and i have always had a blast out there. we stayed at the now-gone stardust, and that place will hold quite a few memories.
the day the news broke about the browns leaving. my dad had picked me up from flag football, and had told me the news, kind tough for a 14 year old kid to take. like yeah, a bunch of political crap, and you won't have a team to watch. it took me a few years to get back into the browns. i watched a few games, but really wasn't into it. and maybe that doesn't matter, because i'm numbed to what they do to me nowadays, but i'll never forget my dad telling me that.

My first TD in little league, Played LB and TE and caught an over the shoulder pass to win our Play-off game.... yes it took me the whole regular season + a playoff game to score a TD the first goal I scored in hockey....... I actually went on to have a hat trick that game..... like Lebron James said: My first time..... in the woods ....no pants and poison ivy doesnt mix well

...when I found out the Browns were moving. I knew for about six months before the public did. My father had close ties with a man who worked with Modell. At one point, they asked my father to consult on a hotel that Modell wanted to build next to his Baltimore stadium. The 'Why Relocation is Necessary' packet Modell used as a pitch is still lying around his house somewhere. The aforementioned friend of my father was sort of 'outed' by Triv as someone who played a role in the move, thus scaring him away from his fifty-yard line upper deck second row seats for the rest of the year, where my dad and I sat. Friends didn't believe me...people said we'd never leave...I can recall one particular friend getting very emotional to the point of anger when he realized I wasn't full of it.
