WARNING: UNMITIGATED PARENTAL BOASTS AHEAD!
----------------------------

For What It Is Worth...

Last April, Collin spent 5-minutes explaining the game of football to
Lovie Smith and Frank Solich.

Since this photo was taken:
The Bobcats won the MAC East Division and went to a bowl game for the
first time in 38 years.
The Bears won the NFC Championship and are headed to the Super Bowl for
the first time in 21 years.

Coincidence? I think not.

Not to mention, my son had just finished his first 5K - defeating nearly
half the field - which was almost entirely made up of college students.

Not too shabby - just wait til he grows up - you'll HAVE to listen to him

Now, let me brag.

When I was about 14, I (we, family) saw Patrick Ewing at a Swenson's Ice Cream shop in D.C. - I knew it was him, and as he walked past us, my dad said "are you Patrick Ewing"? (as if other 7' tall guys with his face were around....)

Nextly, I hit a golf ball in Rick Mirer's parents pool (back when he was "the man" at Notre Dame).

And lastly, 4 or 5 years ago, leaving a Browns game, I saw my ex-wife talking with Bernie Kosar....(she was my ex at the time, and still is).

I met Bob Golic in a rest room. I told him I would shake his hand, but my hands were full

I was just being a smartarse. If it offended you, my apologies. I'm sure we've all met someone famous or have done something to brag about at some point.

Well, those, and Sam Hornish Jr. is my cousin - through marriage, but he's my cousin!

I don't know the full story, but I believe it relates to Chuck Norris' toughness...

Thanks I don't know if I get it yet. Florida, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

GM, Golic was famous in my hometown before he played for the Browns. He was the "hot" lifeguard at the local pool that all my friends went gaga over. He's brother Mike was an altar boy at my Mom's church.

I met Brian Howe, replacement for Paul Rodgers in Bad Company, in a little bar here in town.
I had just finished draining the lizard when he stepped in, and as I was heading to the sink, he said "Hi, I'm Brian Howe" and put out his hand. What the hell, I shake his hand. ROFL before I had washed them.
