My wife purchased it for me this past Sunday. It will be at the house by Wednesday and I will be able to start April off with a bang. I have been reading many of the notes from all of the others on the other thread and I can't wait to get back to my 20's again.......

I had the urge to work out today, but I laid down 'til it went away.

I had no activity the last 7 days, as I was in Florida for a wedding (unless you count 3 rounds of golf as activity ). Its all good, as last week was my "rest" week (following the first grouping). I just completed the Shoulders, Tri's and Chest - a new DVD from prior workouts. Also did Ab Ripper. My arms are J E LL O.

Still haven't lost my handles....want to add more cardio to tone down the stomach before summer. May add some Interval Training on the treadmill to the routine (the days with weights - not the plyo, etc days).

note to all p90x people..I am thinking of creating a fitness site dedicated to education, information exchange, forums, access to video libraries etc. Big part of that will be the p90x program. Would this interest anyone? If so...send me a PM, i'd like to bounce some ideas off you

Legs and Back last night....I did 85 pull-ups in the 8 sets. That's my best. I hope to get to 100 by the end of April.

It's hard to judge my pull-up numbers during the Chest/Back and Back/Biceps routines since they require other upper body usage. The other upper body work seems to affect my total output. I suppose I can still use the numbers to compare within the same workouts....but it seems to skew things a bit. When I'm doing Legs/Back, my arms are free to focus on pull-ups.

Any tips on improving my numbers out there? I want to hit 25 in one set and 50 in three sets. Should I focus on going until failure and then stop? Should I go to failure and then add in chair-aided pull-ups to failure too (when I do this I'm completely wasted by the third pull-up set)?

Hey guys....question: the last week of March was my recovery week. I then got pretty sick (stayed home from work Tues & Wed) so I haven't worked out since I did Cardio X last Saturday. I think I'm well enough now to get back on track. My rest day is Monday...do you think I should do Kenpo and maybe Yoga or CardioX this weekend, take my usual Monday rest, then get back on track on Tuesday with what should be day 57? I

Haven't been on in awhile but nice to see a second thread started.

I'm officially a Beachbody coach now.

Tomorrow is the start of my final week (rest week) of round 1. I'll post my end results/measurements next Sunday.

Recently purchased P90X Plus and Tony's Fountain of Youth yoga, which is a 45 minute yoga program, to replace the P90X yoga for round 2.

The wheels are already turning in my head to develop a P90X "Mass" program for round 3.

My results have been ridiculous and I can't believe the changes in my physique.

Keep pushing play and bringing it peeps !!!

Busted through Cardio X + Back/Biceps yesterday and Cardio X + Ab Ripper this morning. I have Yoga tonight. I noticed that some of my chub on my sides has gone away. Starting to look more "sleek" in the mirror. I'm not huge by any stretch of the imagination but its getting there. I can't wait to start another round!

Yay...my DVD's arrived today just in time for tonight's yoga. I get to "test drive" Tony's new Fountain of Youth yoga workout tonight and start studying the P90X Plus DVD's.

The Interval Plus workout is no joke. I thought Plyo was hard, I couldn't finish it...and I'm a Plyo warrior. Let me know what you think of it.

I watched the Interval Plus dvd last night and it looked intense. I haven't watched the other dvd's yet but all I can say is I hope there's some weight training on them.

I'm assuming that Interval is supposed to be comparable to plyo? I can't deal without weight workouts so I'm hoping the other dvd's have some of those. I need pushups and pullups.

Love the Fountain of Youth yoga dvd. It's 46 minutes of pure yoga at a faster pace. Got a real nice sweat going. With it being half the time of the P90X yoga, I have time to throw in Cardio X immediately following it and get in roughly the same workout time.

BTW...down TWO more belt notches which makes a total of NINE since day 1.

Noticed this morning that my jeans are getting a little loose and I may be down another pant size. That would put me in 34's...down from 48's.

Day 88 for me and I may switch things up and go with plyo tonight.

Day 89 with core synergistics this afternoon.

Did plyo instead of stretch yesterday and really rocked it out.

Final day tomorrow (yoga) and I'll post my final results, hopefully, over the weekend. My computer has issues logging onto this site from home for some reason.

Keep bringing it gang.

Final results....

Day 1

Ht: 6'2"
Wt: 288 lbs
Bodyfat %- 34% (I know, too high)
Chest: 55 inches
Biceps: 19 inches
Waist: 48 inches
Thigh: 30 inches
Calf: 18 inches

Day 90....

Ht: 6'2"
Wt: 246 lbs
Bodyfat %- 13.8%
Chest: 48 inches
Biceps: 18 inches
Waist: 35 inches
Thigh: 26 inches
Calf: 16 inches

So...I lost 42 lbs and 20.2% bodyfat (60% of my total bodyfat).

Goal for round 2, which begins April 19th, is 6% bodyfat.

Program works, folks !!!

Congratulations on the fantastic results Devil! I'm on about week 7, but the last 2 weeks have been sketchy, as I was in Florida for 6 days, then Ohio last weekend up until Thursday. Was able to get a couple days in only...need to step it back up.

Would u guys say this is something good for light weights like me? LOL i'm 150..but i'm like 5'10''...i think 10more lbs would do me good...maybe 15 more...

In short..is it just to lose weight? or is it a good overall work out for everyone?

I would say someone who does it that is not in need of losing weight, would see more sculpting with the program, it definitely will work.

You have a choice between lifting for "lean", 12-15 reps, or lifting for muscle which is 8-10 reps. If you check out the Beachbody boards, you will see some fine success stories of people adding size on this program.

If you're interested and need a Beachbody coach, let me know.

I have not gotten into the message boards over there. Any value derived from them? Went over, and it looks like a huuuge mess. A ton of members, with a huge number of topics. Hard to navigate. If you do visit their message board, where do you spend most of the time? For instance, when here, I spend most of my time in Tailgate and Browns Talk. Also, any good threads you can point us too (at least your opinion)?

I get on the P90X thread. I hang out, primarily, on Team Swarm's thread. He's my Beachbody coach and I became a coach under him. He was a finalist in the Million Dollar Body game and took home $50,000.

There are threads over there that are helpful (P90X Mass thread, etc) and that we can be helpful to others on.

Another board I post on is MyFitnessPal.com. This is an AWESOME site. I track all of my calories on the the diet function. It's idiot proof and has helped me immensely in getting my calories and making sure I didn't go over my daily allotments.

There ARE a ton of threads going over there. The best thing to do is scan them and find one that seems a close fit to you. I found one for people over 40 and so most everything that is posted I can relate to and benefit from.

The first time I went through I did want to lose some weight and took off about 20 pounds. On my second round (I'm on day 63 today) I didn't really have any weight to lose, so I have been focusing more on toning up. Being female I didn't need to bulk up...but I can say my muscle definition is awesome now.

Can't wait for Sunday to hit so I can start back up.

Very thankful for MyFitnessPal.com in that I've been able to track my calories for the week. I've eaten clean but have had a couple of cheat meals like spaghetti (with very lean beef) and a cheeseburger (again lean beef). I'm measuring the portions so I've stayed within my caloric goals.

Keep bringing it.

Whew...I'm back in the game !!!

Chest, back & ARX is done.

You know it's a GREAT feeling that after not having done the chest & back workout in 3 weeks I whip off a personal best in standard pushups on my first set. I also noticed that the reps I achieved on my second time through the rotation were much higher than 3 weeks ago.

Congrats to all who have been on this, it seems like there have been some great results

Is this something you need to have been working out prior to starting? Besides the videos, does it involve buying additional equipment? I've been kicking around trying something new. I'm in decent shape at 5'10", 175 but i carry all my weight in my torso....my wife and i kid that i have about 0% body fat on my legs and like 40% in my chest and stomach.

It's a pretty intense program. It's recommended that you have some level of "base fitness" but you also work at your own pace so if it's too much, you can always press pause. I had lifted for years prior but was also in poor cardiovascular shape before starting this...not now.

All you need is a pullup bar and some exercise bands or dumbbells (dumbbells are usually preferred).

If you have more questions, feel free to shoot me a pm.

Like devildawg said, anyone can do, you just may need to go at a slower pace.

What I've been doing is watching the discs, and doing partial routines at my gym. My membership has a few more months on it, at which time I'm going to cancel, and purchase the Powerblock dumbbells and start the program at home. But in the mean time, I am learning the routines, and getting a head start on conditioning.
