Since the Combine and all of pro days are done. I figured it would be ok to give this another shot.

Who should the Browns pick at #5?
single choice

I know I'll be in the minority and that it's a "reach" but Everette Brown at 5 would make me very happy. Curry is designed as an ILB and I don't we need him as we do a pure pass rusher with actual technique.

I'm with you on Everett Brown. He's a beast. However, Curry's the best LB in this draft. If he's available he will be picked. I just don't think he'll make it to #5.

If one assumes that what Mangini has done with the OLine so far will suffice to provide a running game that controls the clock, can set up a short passing game, protect Brady Quinn, and keep the defense rested, then maybe Crab is the pick to offset the future shortcomings of losing Stallworth and Edwards.

We need so much help on defense though, it would be a crucial error not to take Curry if he is there--I just don't see that he will be.

Jenkins, on paper, might be the next best defender, as could Everette Brown. I would be happy with either.

Andre Smith would be a disappointing pick at 5. If they go OLine, then Jason Smith, Robinson, or the Mack kid would be a ten year starter.

Crapshoot. I'm thinking we end up trading the pick to hoard others. This draft is just too too talented. Good position to be in, but I'd certainly rather be #30-32 every year; just gotta get there somehow,.....

Odds are Curry will be gone. I see Donte getting but and Edwards going to Giants. So Crabtree is a must pick with my scenario.

We don't need a first round WR to succeed......

Rey Maulauga from USC. - We need a fast, fiery, guy that can lay some hits on people.

We can trade down for him. Rey may not even go in the top 10 at this point.

He might be "track fast", but he is not "game fast"

No he ain't game fast, nobody that starts at USC is,....

He is a college football player,..and he's worth the gamble. As is ANYBODY the Browns decide to pick.

It's a friggin' crapshoot, and anybody that doesn't operate under that aura is doomed to a life of sand fleas at Parris Island.

He does have character issues that ARE NOT unresolvable.

Rey is absolutely NOT worth gamble at #5. He's projected to go in the mid-late teens (I know, I know ... CRAPSHOOT). There is a whole lot better value for #5 that will be available. There's only one ILB worth a pick in the top 5, Aaron Curry. I'm not a draft guru, but imho Cushing will make a better ILB than Rey in the pros.

Plus, our current need for an ILB is not THAT big. OLB, S, C, WR, RB, and RT are all bigger needs than ILB.

BTW, I was wrong about him being " track fast." 4.81 at the USC proday.

Judging from the results of this poll I think we will have a lot of disappointed fans. I just have a feeling that Orakpo is going to be the pick.

Given that this Draft is Deep on the OL and considering that it appears that Edwards will be traded.....I would select Crabtree...IF he is on the board....IF Crabtree is gone , I would select trade down to acquire more picks....

Yeah, there ought to be a "bracket" for this. Most correct picks through 2 rounds wins the booty,....

I think I just invented a web site,....
