Sizemore and DeRosa are struggling but all the other hitters are doing well enough. Heck, Hafner is hitting .286 as of right now (early, I know). Our starters are KILLING the Indians chances before the game even hits the 3rd inning.
And BTW, Jensen Lewis should be sent to Single A. Ugh.

I love the updates on ESPN Gamecast: M Teahen singles to right center, M Teahen out stretching at second....and on cue, Lewis gives up a bomb. 5-4 Tribe Bot 8

Honestly I really didn't think we would look this Bad so early in the season....Our Spring was Not Good ....As we start the regular season it doesn't seem as if we are on the road to success....I understand that it is a long season and things could turn around quickly but at this point I have to be a Pessimist ....

On the bright side, Pronk and Vmart look decent.
If we can take this series with the yanks we should be ok.

Can someone explain that last double play? Gamecenter says, VMart popped out to SS and DeRosa out at first. I'm assuming it was a hard liner....but even then, what is DeRosa doing so far off first? Heck, Sizemore was on 2nd. So DeRosa must have been really braindead on the play.
Maybe a double steal / hit-n-run?

I'm listening to the game. Apparently, DeRosa was going on the pitch. The announcers said they thought DeRosa lost track of the ball and didn't know it was a popup. He went all the way to 2nd before he tried to go back. Jeter threw him out.
How do you lose track of the ball?
But, Tribe up 1! Francisco took advantage of Damon essentially rolling the ball to Jeter and was able to score from 1st on a double by Shoppach.
*Edit* If you go to "gameday" from indians.com, they have the video of the double play on there. Looks like it took DeRosa about 9 seconds to run from 2nd back to 1st.

Hey, he can get into all the trouble he wants if he's able to get out of it. Problem is it just drives up that pitch count.

Crazy thing is, CC's already over 100 pitches after 5, lots of walks. What does the yanks middle relief look like?
Cliff's sitting a 74, a quick 1-2-3 would do us really well right now.

Boy, Sizemore getting caught stealing sure hurt. Next two guys up got hits. Would feel a little better at 2-0 right now.

Well, 1-1 after a Posada HR to straightaway center. Had to figure the Yankees would get on the board eventually. Indians have to take advantage of the guys they get on base.

<sigh> Strange to see CC in a Skanks uni... Cliff sure is dancing on a highwire so far. At least he's making the pitches to get OFF the tightrope (so far) today. Hopefully, he can cruise for another inning or two. Those seats behind the plate in the new Skankee Stadium look SWEET. I wonder how much they go for??
