So 2 primetime games, a Monday nighter against Baltimore and a Thursday nighter against Pittsburgh. Can't complain too much about that!
Plus only one home game at 4:05. That sucked last year having to wait all freakin' day for a game.

Always.... It doesn't mean anything now, but it looks like the "tougher" matchups appear to be fairly spread out. No 3 game road trips. Fairly balanced schedule.
Go Browns!!

Two things...(1) we get the Rats at Home after bye week & (2) Our 1st division game is not till week 3! (Losing to Div rival in 1st 2 weeks is a Killer, You are trying to catch up the whole season if ya lose)! If we can play .500 ball thru the bye, maybe the guys will mesh & we stand a good chance of being winners!!! JMHO Go Brownies!!!!

I like ending the season at cold, snowy Cleveland Browns Stadium for our final games, but it doesn't help much if we start off losing all those road games.
Not that we're going to be much good....

Can't predict anything right now. At this time last year, how many people predicted us at 4-12 and the Cardinals picking 31st?

wonder if our game at Buffalo is in Toronto? that'd be sweet for me at least.

It's not the Steelers' fault. The schedule is set a few years in advance (at least as to the teams being played).

With all the young'uns that we are likely to have, the early road games might be helpful. They won't have the added pressure of trying to win in front of some of our rowdy fans. Go Brownies!!!

Nope. It's in Buffalo. Bills play Jets in Toronto. Not that anyone cares.

I care, lampy. I don't like the idea of a team like Buffalo, similar in a lot of ways to the Browns, losing a home game just because the league wants to "expand" the fan base. Ridiculous, IMO.

Well, I know that if I have Adrian Peterson on my fantasy team, I start him pretty much EVERY week, so it shouldn't matter too much that they play the Browns first.

lol, agreed.
in all seriousness, can't say the league doesn't do anything for us. they gave us a schedule that helps us gain momentum when we need it, gives us a rest before a huge game, and helps us close strong. i'd say they want us to play in the postseason. make it happen mangini!

Makes me wonder how the schedule would have been if Romeo were still coach Probably would have gotten the Steelers week 1... Ravens week 2... Bye Week is week 5, Finish the season w/ 3 road games....

there arent really any away games that jump off the schedule as games I immediately want to go to...
As I consider which road trip to make, both Buffalo and Detroit are too close to Cleveland, Chicago is the day after halloween and that is usually a weekend where I make other plans. The Division games are every year type games... I like the unique away games... Denver is early in the season.
KC might be fun..with Denver a second choice for attendance

They need to schedule a game like San Diego for late November or December. That would be a game worth going to for no other reason than to get out of the weather.

Browns schedule analysis
April 14, 2009 7:58 PM
Posted by ESPN.com's James Walker
Breakdown: The Cleveland Browns have been granted an astonishing 11 straight home openers, which is the longest streak in the NFL.
For the most part, Cleveland has blown these opportunities as the team is 1-9 in home openers since 1999. This year's Week 1 opponent wasn't an easy draw, either. The Browns will host the Minnesota Vikings to open the season.
It will be important for new head coach Eric Mangini to get off to a fast start. Many fans in Cleveland are already disgruntled from the past and skeptical of new leadership.
Complaint department: Speaking of fast starts, it doesn't look promising for Cleveland. The Browns open against the Vikings, then travel to play the Denver Broncos in Week 2 and at the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. That is a brutal stretch to open the season. If the Browns do not win their home opener against Minnesota, an 0-3 start could be on the horizon. ESPN

We haven't even drafted yet. We don't even know who all the players are going to be. How can someone project wins and losses?

It just cracks me up. According to a few people I talk to, the Browns are going 3-13 this coming season. Seriously, why aren't they playing the lottery?

Seriously, right now we have three picks in the top 50. That could very easily be three starters. Three starters out of 22 are not known and people are talking about wins and losses.

Because this is Cleveland and we are the Kings and Queens of Pessimism. Hell if we didn't have pessimists, we wouldn't have any fans LOL!
I'm of the opinon they won't win 4 games regardless of who we draft or how many draft picks we have. The number of skilled players on the offensive side of the ball is pretty limited. If they trade BQ and BE, we won't be left with a whole lot of fire power.

I'm of the opinion that until we play the games, we won't know. For God's sake, we beat the defending Super Bowl champs last year and lost to the freakin' Bengals.
That's why they play the game, folks.

I'm of the opinion that pre season picks as far as wins and losses is a total crap shoot. It means nothing. Look at past years. Last year we were picked to be good. We weren't. The year before we were picked to be pushovers. We weren't.
Take out the "dynasty" teams, i.e. the patriots, and very seldom are pre season picks even close to accurate. I couldn't care less what the "experts" say. They have to do their job, which is get in print. Doesn't mean they know anything, they just have to sound like they do.
