We won a season opener against Baltimore a few years ago.

Against Baltimore when we had Jeff Garcia? I think that was it.

2004, Browns beat Ravens 20-3 in the home opener.

Has nothing to do with this topic, but didn't want to start a thread on it........... but
When in the hell are we going to hire a WR coach? And is there even someone worthy out there? If there was, I would think they'd have been in by now.

WOW!
Pittsburgh wins the Super Bowl and has the second or third easiest game in the NFL.
What a friggin crock!
In this case the stats are misleading.
Detroit's 0-16 record skews the percentages. The Divison was 25-39 Without Detroit 25-23.
Same way with the AFC west. Division record was 22-42.
Have to admit, the AFC West and NFC North place 3 favorable teams on the shedule.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

I care, lampy. I don't like the idea of a team like Buffalo, similar in a lot of ways to the Browns, losing a home game just because the league wants to "expand" the fan base. Ridiculous, IMO.
I agree, and have always felt that way. Buffalo deserves that much cuz they're good fans, & Ralph Wilson voted "no" to Pig Modell's move in 95. I just figured if a Buff. game was gonna be in Toronto, why not the Browns?

A very marginal team could pull out an 8-8 with this schedule. I'm not sure if we're marginal yet but it's certainly not out of the question. This is a very favorable schedule. Call me crazy but neither Denver and the Vikes scare me or anyone else this year. Who's throwing the rock for both these teams again? Uh huh.

I clicked on the post thinking that the schedule was leaked early.
Of course it was nothing more than someone who wanted their name in lights sigh
I take offense to that.. coming from a "1st string"...
You're going to judge a poster based on his post count and a little title?

Well...they did have the hardest schedule last year

Actually I kind of liked it....by the time the Playoffs started the Steelers were battle tested and confident they could beat anyone.

I don't like that 4 day rest before we play the steelers... and the one on sunday is our late sunday game..

Ya Know... every year when the new schedule comes out, I will sit and pour over it and try to evaluate which games we should win,.. which games we have a good chance of winning and which games we are likely to lose. I sit and look at the schedule today, and.... I AINT' GOT A CLUE!!!! Does anyone?!!

"I'm sure the Adrian Peterson guys will be starting him Week 1."
I'm sure they're not going to start him the other weeks...lol
just some notes.
Vikings real tough test one of the best defenses in the NFL regardless of stats and the best running game in the NFL.
It will be interesting to see how we come out and start. That's one thing about RAC we came out real flat - which I couldn't understand. In that regard Butch was very good at getting the team all out there kicking butt from the start.
2004 Ravens Opener...the only home opener I ever attended.
I don't know I think all Browns fans should get a collection up and send me some tickets...lol
Steelers with easy schedule, not fair?...just remember last season they had the hardest and won the Super Bowl. So just what does that mean?
2 keys I feel important to a winning season. Facing soft Defenses Have Great Health!
Schedule always looks tough. Hopefully we will be healthy in December and the games mean something.
JMHO
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

Better to play the team you already know 4 days later than someone you have to put in a whole gameplan for.

Play Thursday night....there are 24 hours in a day and it will be over 96 hours from the end of the Sunday game to KO of the Thursday night game so technically it is 4 days rest between the games..... The good thing is they are both home games.......4 out of the last 5 played at home, gotta love that.

Thought I'd point out that the Vikes will most likely be without Pat and Kevin Williams for the first few weeks of the season due to the StarCaps incident. May help our chances.
