Well, good luck and congrats to you fellas......I really like drafting too, but this year....I decided to break the cardinal sin....I think it's best said as "Putting all of my eggs in one basket"....but I figured that my starters were good, and I had sufficient back-ups.....so we will see....

Oh, no prob.....I was just looking for suggestions or if maybe anyone has had to deal with the same problem. yeah, I have tried getting some run stopping LB's and DL....I even switched my good saftey's to DB's in hopes that if he was running sweeps or to the outside, that he may help...and since he hit me for over 200, I think there was were I made my biggest mistake. I had held him to 120 or so before this meeting.....I think nect time I will play all man to man....with 100 % short..pretty much try and bring everyone up to the line....and just completly abandon any kind of run "D"......but to answer your question, yes...if I get a chance to add another good run stopper any where, you can bet he will be playing for Tenn......I just hope that I didn't trade my draft away..I can't remember. That is what sucks about playing with 5 teams....hard to remember what I do from season to season...

I drafted a DB that looks like this:
Slot Name Inj Year Rat Pot Exp Dur FS S. Green OK 1 60 100 0 65 Rating Current Potential Leadership 40 40 Run Defense 60 100 Pass Coverage 60 100 Int. Rating 92 106 Blitzing 19 32
Then I just traded next year's #1 and #2 for this:
Slot Name Inj Year Rat Pot Exp Dur SCB M. Riddick OK 4 100 100 630 93 Rating Current Potential Leadership 85 85 Run Defense 100 100 Pass Coverage 100 100 Int. Rating 106 106 Blitzing 32 32 And these two will compliment this one:
Slot Name Inj Year Rat Pot Exp Dur WCB M. Sharpe OK 4 100 100 645 100 Rating Current Potential Leadership 99 99 Run Defense 100 100 Pass Coverage 100 100 Int. Rating 74 74 Blitzing 46 46 Well I'm stacked at DB now for a few seasons. Two are at 100 now, with the rookie getting there soon. Right now I'm starting the rookie at FS what do you think?

I think that your DB's are insane. I agree with putting the rookie at FS. Am I the only one who sees a resemblance between him and Riddick?
If anyone has a WR with very good catching and are willing to trade him, shoot me an offer. I am looking for that and a run stuffing defensive lineman.

Well, if it were me, I would sit the rookie DB due to the low durability....the reason I say that is...during the season his ratings will go up....but since right now he is injury prone, and if he was to take a serious injury, you will have to start all over again...and then his durability may never go back up...or it will just take longer to get it to do so....I would try and land a DB veteran around 88 or so that you can milk for a year or two......wait until his ratings go up, then start him.....

yeah, that is what I would do...maybe even the dime role....but if there was any way to let him sit out a year...I would...but that is just my opinion.....that is how I try and do my roster....when I have a starter that is around the 8 year range or so, I try and either draft a rookie to take his spot...that way I have a year or so to build them up...or trade them....

tip to everyone if you make a trade before training camp make sure to re-check your Training Camp reps
I pulled an idiot move in one of my other leagues
essentially I had drafted an Adrian Peterson clone with 92 dur,but 64 overall (hes going to be a stud) so I assigned him 100 reps and traded for a blocking back afterwards (at like 10pm last night) and it reset my reps to 15 for each back... so he only advanced 1 pt.... emailed supprt.. they were nice but wouldnt do anything (I accept that it proves to me they are trying to keep it fair)

You just have to check the positions you traded to and from and reset your reps.

I think your right....it doesn't appear that my guys got any better yet either....they said that since they have had so many people sign up, that it has been taking longer for things to simulate and that everything is usually done by 11, so maybe check back then.....but I have had so many injuries with my TENN team that I took it easy on the reps this year just to see if it would help. So I don't expect to see much improvement anyways.....yeah, I'm trying a different approach with Indy this time...I'm gonna run a 5-2 so that should clog everything in the middle by itself, and then I'm gonna set everything else up to guard against counter run plays......see if that works....if I could just figure out what style of plays he calls, I would be better off...
Your right, our division in the DT league is ridiculous....and just getting more and more strong....I'm happy with my "D" so far this year....and my "O" is average, so we will see how it plays out.....I just took an injury to my TE which sucks.....but I have a good back-up.....

I'm 6-1 and tied for the division league. Rabid, no offense, but I'd appreciate it f you started losing some games. That 2nd rounder of yours is my highest pick.

You've Asked For It... Get Set For the New SALARY LEAGUES!
We are so excited to announce today that we are releasing our first Premium Football Game with the introduction of Salary Leagues. These highly anticipated new leagues will launch on June 3, 2009. “We are very excited to let sports fans get their hands on our new Salary Leagues, which our current members helped create,” said Steve Olson, president of SportSims.net. “Salary caps and player contracts were the most requested features by our members, so we are proud to release an exclusive new game built specifically for gamers who want the additional challenge of salary cap management.” Olson added, “We also are eager for our people to see our Ebay-style bidding for Free Agents.” Player auctions will be thrilling and very competitive, especially for popular players, and Owners will have a minimum of 24 hours to place a maximum bid on players for their team. The Salary Leagues in SportSims.net’s Premium Football Game features one of the most unique salary cap systems ever created. Owners will manage their team’s salary cap and player salaries using real money, adding a strategic element to trading, cutting and drafting players or signing free agents. With a salary cap of four dollars and individual player values ranging from less than one cent to one dollar, each Owner is in complete control of how he will structure his team. The Salary Leagues will join the incredibly popular free Standard Game which received a 9-out-of-10 rating from OperationSports.com.
This should be fun....I was wanting this.....

yeah, me too.....I currently have 5 teams.....looking to try and keep 3 of them and add at least one salary team . I haven't added any more years to my contracts...gonna see which teams look the best when my contract expires and go from there....definitely keeping the DT league....maybe we can set up a DT salary cap league...?????

As a learning experience for me, what was your defensive game plan like to stop me? You did a pretty good job of stopping my offense, and my O is pretty good.

Honestly i didn't change my gameplan TOO much...but what i did do is i looked at ur stats to see which players are doing all the work and tried to set up D accordingly...i saw you rely on ur FB little bit..almost as much as ur RB so i made sure to account for that etc etc...and more zone then i usually play..cuz ur WRs are awesome

I know..NFC is loaded...right now as it stands your division has the 2 wildcard seeds...but there are bunch of 7-4 teams in our conf...so who knows...my team sucks ass..but i've gotten lucky because i'm playing bunch of weak teams. If i get into the playoffs i'll prolly lose in the 1st round. I have SOOOO many injuries.
