1. San Francisco $42.1M
Wow they werent half bad this year, they could definetly get some pieces and be a contender next season.

3. Arizona $36.7M
This might be our Steinbach, Dielman competition.

9. New England $30.4M
They never want to spend their money, I dont see them paying Samuel.

How much did we have available last offseason, wasnt it like the mid $20 million. If thats so its amazing how many teams have alot of cap space this offseason. Top 19 teams have 20+ mil.

Steelers at the bottom, hmmm, wonder if this had a factor in BC retiring.

Yup, that's his name and I can get behind those two FA signings as well,,, but if we can't get Samuels, I'd take Nate Clements also.. Either one would be good, but Samuels more so.... And if by some ungodly chance we land a guy like Eric Stienbach from Cinci,,,,,Cool

This is before all those bonuses and rookie cap and all that kick in. These numbers will all drop as we get closer to the draft.

Good numbers. Stoolers won't have any big times. I think this opens us up for a big time free agent like Samuel, Dielman, or Steinbach. And we have plenty of cap for the draft

with the cap going up $7 million over what it was last year and a little more than $20 million over what it was in 2005, I'm having a hard time buying that anyone is that close to the cap.

Then again, THIS list has similar numbers, but it reports the Steelers as being $1.4 OVER.... and I can't even remember the last time you guys did any real spending for anything in free agency and you haven't had a high pick in years, with Roth being your highest in my limited memory.

Then again, they have both positive and negative numbers listed in Red, so I'm not sure they really know what the hell they're talking about I mean, am I supposed to believe that the Redskins are negative 2.4 million dollars over the cap? That woud make them 2.4 million UNDER... rather goofy these things

Patriots | Franchise tag values set for Samuel, Graham
Fri, 26 Jan 2007 10:23:18 -0800

John Tomase, of the Boston Herald, reports the New England Patriots would have to pay $7.79 million should they designate CB Asante Samuel as their franchise player this offseason, while placing the franchise tag on TE Daniel Graham would cost $4.31 million.

Think we throw any money at Charles Grant from NO? I know he's an unrestricted FA. I sincerely doubt NO lets him go, but I didn't think Bentley would be coming here, either!

I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism
