Thank you Peen. My father server 2 tours in Nam, he had very strong opinions. Having met some of his friends, and having worked with some of the units in Afghanistan and Iraq, my opinions of these people and their oppressors can't be swayed. All people have the right to define their destiny.

I would suggest that anyone with a brain would know that a traditional attack strategy wouldn't work in this instance.
There is a person on here that has stated it extremely well.. Just a few posts up in fact. Terrorists hide in plain sight.. Carpet bombing means killing those that didn't do a thing to us.
Not being a military guru, I'm not sure what the answer really is,,, but it isn't what we did. We should have learned that by watching the USSR try it and failing for 10 years.. The afgans kicked thier butts..(with a ton of our help I might add)

IMO, they would not be unlike those elected officials who thought lying about the need for a War was a great idea too. What goes on in the mind of a person who can think it's ok to lie about the need for War and then "laugh" about it?

More soldiers have died in the War that some find so funny, than people who died due to the 9/11 attacks.
The Afghan War, where those who attacked the USA on 9/11, lived and plotted their attack on the USA, is still not won after 7+ yrs. After Bin Laden escaped the Bush administration at Tora Bora in Dec 2001, walking into Pakistan...the WMD lies about Iraq began.
4281 American soldiers have died in the Iraq War and Iraq had no WMDs.
To some of us, it's not funny at all.
