As these fans hold up their predictions for how many wins the bungles will have this season, they surround one of the few fans that have actually witnessed a bungle playoff victory.

Gee, what was it like grandma?

The Browns last playoff victory was in 1994
The Bengals, I don't know, 1988, or 89.

Apparently, HBO wants this series to take a "Cops" like persona.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/05/14/bengals.ap/index.html

CINCINNATI (AP) -- The star-crossed Bengals are about to become HBO's latest stars.

The cable channel and NFL Films chose one of the league's least-successful teams of the last 18 years for its next "Hard Knocks" training camp series. Last year, the Dallas Cowboys were the ones followed through training camp.

HBO started the program in 2001 with the Baltimore Ravens. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis was the defensive coordinator in Baltimore then, so he's familiar with how it works. Still, television executives had to do some arm-twisting to get the team to go along.

The Bengals have only one winning record since 1991, when owner Mike Brown took over. One intriguing subplot will be how Brown, who shies away from cameras, comes across in the episodes. Brown didn't attend a news conference about the show.

This board does not condone the use of four letter words...

Was that supposed to be smack? If so, can you break it down more in depth for me as I didn't get it.

Thanks.

I've got a prediction for the Begals fans for 2009:

Only five (5) players will be arrested off-season (OTA's and training camp) and two (2) during the season which will be the total of seven (7) for the year, breaking last years record...

I'll make this one short and sweet...After what has transpired in this offseason, I think Clown fans have NO ROOM to talk about any other team when it comes to crime....Nuff said...

Curly, ummm, what? Low class AND no class. You preaching is the OVEN calling the kettle black. Love what you have done with the hair. Much nicer than the mullet you had. Difference is you need ANY player so bad that you put 'em back on the roster and draft more legal types. No truth to the rumor that the Bengals draft picture was posted in our post office by mistake (easy enough to confuse em). Just saying.

Your right Curly, the Browns can't hold a candle to the Bengals when it comes to that. I do have to give them credit for fighting the urge to sign Paul Crew last season

Comparing what the Bengals were arested for and what Stallworth did, is completely different. The Bengals players did not harm anyone or end anyone's life for that matter.

you can smack Stallworth all you like... we didn't like him even before he ran over that guy so it doesn't bother me.

First he cuts Braylon Edwards' foot in training camp, then he mows a guy down when drunk... good old Donte, always running into something.

still doesn't compare to the Bungles rap sheet, however.

That is because they couldn't get a release from prison.

Here's the difference....

I don't expect to ever see Stallworth don the Browns uniform again. He is only sitll on the roster because the FO wants to go after his roster bonus (IMO).

If he was a Bengal, Mike Brown would ignore the whole incident and sign him again even if the coach pleaded to not sign him (Chris Henry ring a bell?)

I think with a character named "OCHOCINCO", well, I rest my case...Say, is "HEHATEME" still available for you all to sign or is his criminal record not up to "Bungel standards"....

Typical Bengal logic, it seems relevant, but would only happen in Cincinnati, to have a press conference about a "place kick holder". The same logic that professes a Super Bowl trip after the team's first win probably in October, maybe November.

Ha..Stop right there! Dont you know that the words Super Bowl and Cleveland Browns only appear on the same page when you are talking about non participants?

To even mention them together defies all logic...Yep, Mr Spock's eyebrow would remain permanently cocked if he ever saw it...

...and the only time the Bengals and NFL Championship are on the same page it says "Bengals Lose". It seems you give quite a bit of importance to the word "participant".

I wonder what that Super Bowl hero Stanly Wilson is doing these days. That was a great moment in Cincinnati Super Bowl history.
