What games are you guys playing now? Something new, or busting out a classic?

i haven't seen much action in this forum, i figured i'd try and make a topic people can constantly chime in too.

i'm actually going to some classics.

i just beat god of war and am now playing god of war 2, which i have never played.

i also picked up the gta trilogy on ps2 and am playing that.

there are some games in the future that i wanna pick up though, ghostbusters, which is due next month, batman: arkham asylum which is due before the end of the summer, and modern warfare 2 which is due out in november (and should be legendary)

For the past months I've mostly been playing The Show 09 and some ESPN NFL 2K5 when I have time.

In terms of the gta series, for me, gta3 was by far the best game on the Ps2 console. People might say vice city, it was good but gta3 was revolutionary for the time.

vice city was my favorite like most people. i think it's the soundtrack. a ton of music i grew up hearing as a little kid... the setting is perfect, 80's in miami. the scarface/miami vice theme is awesome.

i will tell you this though. if you have played gta 4 enough, go back and play gta 3, and you will STRUGGLE.

the way they have the cars maneuver now compared to then... wow...

just moving your guy around is just different.

still a great game though.

i love the series. 30 bucks on ps2 and you get the trilogy. not bad.

I'm mostly playing The Show '09 on PS3. I just finished getting the Big Boss Emblem on Metal Gear 4 a week or so ago, so I'm pretty much done with that now. As far as the PC, I've been recycling a lot of my older games, although I've found that my newer PC has a worse video card, and I can't play some of the games I had before. I just loaded up Mass Effect last night, and will probably start playing that a bit this week, if my video card can keep up. And as always, I'll play some Runescape to just kill time. Hey stop laughing! I mean it, quit it!

I'm thinking about picking up the LEGO Star Wars game, as my 5-year old is actually pretty good at the LEGO games, and I can play 2-player with her.

Dang, you and I need to hook up to play some baseball soon. I'll add you to my Buddy List on the Sportsconnect menu tonight. Odd, I tried playing a friend of mine in The Show yesterday but it kept cancelling out the game. I thought it was my connection but I was able to play some random guy without a problem (lost 5-1).

I have Killzone 2.....I don't play that as much as I thought I would. Maybe it's because I'm still playing Skate, Madden and The Show.

I really want Street Fighter but the eBay prices are a little high still. Maybe in a month or so.

I downloaded the Wolverine demo.....WHOA! That was bloody, brutal and cool! I'm not sure I'd buy it.......but that was fun! Try it out people.

I think my next purchase will be Hot Shots Golf or Skate 2 (eBay of course). I guess there's a small chance NCAA 2010 might be a buy....we'll see.

What times are you usually on?

I havent played the Show in about a week since I picked up UFC, but Id love to get on and play someone. Ive never played anyone online. Im pretty bad at it, especially now since all I do is pitch in the Road to the Show Option, im sure my defense and hitting will be terrible.

Lets try and set something up though for sure.

Yup, same here. I only play as a pitcher in RTTS. Our pitching will be flawless......defense and hitting will be awful (just like my 5-1 loss against someone yesterday - 3 errors and I swung at too much junk).

I'm usually online after the kiddo hits the crib.....8:30'ish (Central Time). I'll look out for you this week.

Not sure which team you'll want to play. I like playing National League rules but I'm an Indians fan. I'll be anyone except the Yanks, Red Sox, Marlins and anyone in the AL Central.

Anyone play the new Punch Out for Wii? The original is in my Top 10 All Time Video Game Favorites list.

I don't own a Wii....but my nephew does (I might be buying it for him).

Cool, maybe tomorrow night, since the Cavs are on tonight and Thursday.

Ill play any league or division, I usually pick my team accordingly when playing someone else. Ill probably look for a team with a stud ace since thats all I do well.

I picked up the new Punch Out for the Wii. When I do play that's what I've been playing.

So far It's very much like the original but using the Wii remote is great. The balance board makes for an interesting challenge.

I've bought the Show for '07 and '08, but skipped out this year. It was a great game and I enjoyed it, BUT, I have Killzone 2, and I haven't put it down since I picked it up in February.

So, my Now Playing list consists of 1 game- Killzone 2.

I played some Little Big Planet this weekend with some girl I met on Killzone and her husband. It was actually pretty damn fun.

lol...yeah here is my list:

1) Vista Spider Solitare
2) Vista Mahjong
3) The occasional Vista Minesweeper

The other games I've been playing
1) The Witcher
2) Wolverine
3) Infinite Undiscovery
4) Smash Bros (The kids love playing the Emissary Mode)

and I've been wanting to play through FF-X again.

Of course playing 15 minutes a week, I'm not making much progress on anything at all.

I did start playing UFC, but I created a fighter and sucked miserably, so I let a friend borrow it for awhile Of course he was 5'6" with a 10" (exaggeration) reach...

I must have put in close to 200 hours on FO3. And, DLC comes to PS3 this month! w00t!

As for the question, Punch-Out!! For Wii and assassin's creed for PS3. Then I've got madworld, bad company, and bioshock... So I'll be busy till madden comes out.

I just installed Fallout3 last weekend. I haven't made it that far into the game, but it seems pretty decent so far.

I also downloaded a copy of Spore, but I have yet to install it.

These days, my gaming is limited to little 30 minutes bursts of free time, so I usually just do a quick skirmish battle in Company of Heroes, or something like that.

it'll be tough to play fallout 3 for only 30 minute bursts...

it's a fun game though. i'm just getting into it too. i think im level 4, and th 2 big missions i have are getting the galaxy news transmitter, and finding ian west, who apparently is a cannibal that ate his family, i also get the joy of letting his sister know he destroyed her family and then ate them.

I'm about 2 hours into Infamous, and not sure if I like it. The game got good reviews, but it's hard. The aiming reticle (sp?) is hard to get on an enemy quickly. Maybe I'll warm up to it, but I'd warn someone to rent if first.

Edit - Wolfenstein comes out August 4th, that's the next game I'll be looking forward to.

My next 2 games will be Fight Night 4 and Fat Princess.

Fat Princess will probably be $9.99, which looks to be worth it. Funny concept, online play. Looks cool. The only other game I've purchased from the PS Store was Pain back when it was released, and it was worth the money. Again, pretty cool little concept Sony had going on.

add Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the Wii to the list. You can get it packaged with the new motion control add on for $10 cheaper than if bought separate. I have been playing since I got home from work, its a great game...

Anyone catch the 4 minute video of actual gameplay of Modern Warfare 2? I'm not able to dig it up right now, as I'm at work and streaming sites are blocked, but the game looks sick.

I have been playing that game for about 2 months. I finally beat it to death. I beat the regular game, and all three downloads. It is one of the most addictive games I've ever played. It's like crack, if you don't wanna get hooked, don't smoke it.

Yeah, Virtua Tennis 2009 and Grand Slam Tennis.

Im waiting to read the reviews to decide which game I want to get. Grand Slam looks fun though, both use the new Motion Control too.
