Besides there are only two things I REALLY care about as a buckeyes fan.....and both happened this year.
1) win the big ten. Check
2) Beat U of M. Check.

So we lost some mythical made up championship. So what. Good for the gators they were the better team that game. They might be the the better TEAM period. I don't really care. I would have been happy to win the "championship", but it doesn't kill me that OSU lost either. I mean a game that occurs that late, that was moved back a week for TV, and (that is before the BCS) was a reward for a good season but not in any way a championship is kinda cool, but not a true test of how a team did during the SEASON. Same way like the combine isn't that big a deal, but TV wants you to think it is....(.I mean if they don't more or less know what's up with players by the combine then a team's in trouble.)

Anyway I want to say the Ohio State Buckeyes Football team had a great year.

I haven't read any replies in this thread, and I'm sure it's already been asked but.....

Quick question...How is going 5-15 outplaying anyone? I'd say they both sucked.

I agree with you.

I have always set the goal of winning the SEC and beating Floridawannabe State above anything else......it is the BSC...and we won it.

I think the Gators are a perfect example of why it is the BS...Championship...look at all of the talk prior to the game about the Gators not being worthy...shouldn't even be in the game...OSU would crush them by 40...the SEC are loud talkers...yet we squeeked in after some teams lost, and after the game, any talk about a team not deserving to be in sure wasn't about Florida(not smack talking the Bucks here).

Until the NCAA runs a playoff of at least a few teams....4-5...whatever...even a plus 1,...it is a bunch of BS.

So, for me, win the SEC and slap the punks from Tallahassee. If you do that, you did something....and I know many of you feel the same way about Mich. and the Big 10.

I agree with you....during playoffs there would be no argument who the best 2 teams are...since they paid their dues in the playoffs to make the championship game.....and a #5 seed team can actually get into the game if they deserve to get in....but then i bet the teams sitting on the outside would have smiliar argument that hey we should have gone to the playoffs...there is no win win in college football if u ask me....

I think chapmpion of every conference should go to the playoffs to represent their conf....maybe 1st and 2nd? that would be a little insane too tho....who would play who? i don't know,, i haven't thought about this a whole lot lol....

At this point it really doesn't matter to me anymore.....
The fact remains that that game was the weirdest i've seen in a long time....will i believe the gators were just that much better than the bucks this year? HELL NO...i will not...but on that day they were hands down the better team....sure some of you will say otherwise(that gators were just that much better)...but it really doesn't matter anymore...

Gators national champs....nuf said...
