After five years of posting on this board, I have finally reached Hall of Fame status. I have gone through much growth since I have posted on this board, (it's hard for me not to have, I was 10 when I first started) and I can honestly (and quite possibly pathetically) say that the great people of this board have impacted me, and made me a different person than I would be without this board. Despite haven never met any of you, I feel like I know all of you, and consider you all friends of mine. It could be said that you are much better friends than the losers I have in real life.

Without further ado, I have a long list of people to thank, in no particular order:

GM - For teaching me to laugh at myself.
Jules - For being brutally honest, and giving my ego a bruise when I needed it.
DC & 79 - For teaching me that you don't always have to be serious.
BrowniePoints - For giving me someone my age to talk to.
DnD - For tutoring me on the Salary Cap.
Diam - For teaching me much about the game of football.
Vers (though he could not be here) - For taking me under his wing and teaching me more about the game than anyone else has.
Toad - For being awesome and teaching me much about the game, the way it works, and the ins and outs of the business.
Ammo - For being a drunken fool and making me feel good about myself .
017 - For being a cool guy, that I could disagree with, and have it not be personal.
ddubia - For being so dang logical.
Clem - For teaching me to mean what you say, and say what you mean. And teaching me the finer intricacies of life.
Arch - For being good out doors type guy, and teaching me to value the simple things.
Christy - For teaching me not all Steelers' fans are that bad.
OnB - For teaching me that all Bengals' fans are that bad. JUST KIDDING.
Mike - For teaching me that Ravens fans can be alright, despite them having stolen our team and winning a Super Bowl with it.
CoachB - For teaching me to trust what someone says, because very rarely do they lie. I kid, I kid.

I know there are people I'm forgetting, but you can suck it up.

I also know that there are some people who will rip on me for making a thread about this, and being an attention whore. They too, can suck it up.

Congrats! I never made it to HOF'er on the old site and I was there for many years. I doubt I'll ever make it on this site either and I've been here from the start.

Here's to your never shutting up!

Very nice little thread, Deep.

You do learn a lot from the people on here. There are some good people on Dawgtalkers. A few that I've met, most that I haven't, but everybody makes this place enjoyable in their own personal way, like you said.

Thanks for the mention in there, and yes, I don't take a disagreement personal. And I know that you don't either if we happen to disagree. We learn from each other. I know I've learned from you, and your half my age. Just keep a good head on your shoulders, and I think you will have success in life.

Congrats on getting that gold jacket!

And not to take away from your thunder, but a shameless plug for my daughter here, who turns 3 today. Happy Birthday, Kenleigh!

No, the styles don't change very often.

Here is the one we gave out for years and it worked well, but at the last meeting of the gold jacket society we felt we needed to make a change since it was discovered GM thought the tails were there for wiping off your hands rather than using a towel or napkin. His was all soiled with what looked like mustard and catchup stains.

We figured the brown trim on the new beauty would better fit with the Browns as well as provide some cover up for those who don't know how to act when out in public.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

From one overtalkative poster to another ....

Don't you have anything better to do that post over 3000 times on a message board?

Congratulations anyway. LOL

Congrats, Deep!

Coolest thing is... it wasn't the quanity of your posts that make this such a cool accomplishment, it was the quality.

You're an impressive young'un, and off to a great start.(Wish I had half going for me at your age that you're showing us.)

Very cool to see my name on that august list... humbling, to be sure.

Looking forward to more from you... HOF status doesn't mean you can sit back and rest on your laurels, you know!

Well-earned honor, Deep. (One piece of advice... take that new gold jacket to a professional tailor for fitting. You don't want to be strutting around here with something that looks like it's "off the rack"...)

best,
Clem

You know, it is really special when you post on one site for that long and you get to know most of the users on there. Like many have already said, it's like on huge family.

Congrats on the hall of fame dawg.

My Hall of Fame status is just testament to how much time I have wasted. Though occassionally I come across something worthwhile on the board. Nothing that makes my life any more rewarding, and nothing that will save my life, or make me millions of dollars, come to think of it; why do I post here?

BTW, ask PPE about the special "hall of fame" members portion of the board. Then again, I think you have to be over 18 for it. It gets a little blue...

*Edit* And, I'm glad I was able to teach you not to be too serious. In my life, I take very very few things seriously. I take my family extremely seriously, my friends extremely seriously, and my job extremely seriously. After that, it's all just little stuff. I don't worry about what other people think of me, I don't get involved in (too much) gossip, etc. That philosophy has helped me keep a pretty healthy perspective on life. No use getting worked up about things that just plain don't matter.

If I could go back in time, I would tell myself to not pick a team.

I never really picked an NHL team....and I enjoy each and every game I watch.

It's too late for me though. As for my daughter, unless a Cleveland teams wins one soon, I refuse to burden her with Cleveland sports fandom (or fandoom).
