Welcome to the Cleveland Browns, guys. Strength and conditioning coaches, I hope your approach is successful and our guys are strong, quick, in shape for the long haul...and above all, healthy. Mr. Marshall, I look forward to seeing what you've got in your bag of tricks. Hopefully, you will get a stud or three to work with this season. A lot is riding on the success of the offensive line in 2007.

I'm gonna miss the whole combine because of Time Warner Cable cutting the NFL Network,,,,,

Slackers on the board? I read it in the Springfield paper (pretty spotty sports IMO) this morning; no word here or on the frontPage? I am shocked! Hope to see & learn more about these folx. Also, saw carthon found the new team. That should help.
Use the Force, Phil! And may the Elf be with you! Go Browns!

I find it interesting that we hire Myslinksi, a pretty solid NFL lineman, not as an OL coach but assistant strength and conditioning coach. I understand that he would likely know a lot about strength and conditioning, but I would think after 9 years in the NFL he'd have a lot to offer that position as well.

Well, IMO it is a good strategy.

You take someone overqualified for the job with a lot of knowledge and experience to offer.

BpG says it in response to you, but perhaps Myslinski is someone they view as an up and coming coach and it could be thier way of just getting him in here on staff..

Of course there will be those that think it's a conspiracy and they next season, he's taking over for RAC...

it could be as simple as he isn't interested in coaching OLine... or perhaps starting out as S&C is the foot in the door to see if he even has what it takes to be a coach at all, or if it's even something he'd like to do.

CB - I like that hire...2002 was the only season since 99 that our OL wasn't in disarray from one injury after another regarding the OL.

Its bad enough EVERY SEASON we retool basically the entire OL 07 not being an exception. But we don't even get the IN Season continuity to become halfway decent.

Maybe having a Strength and Conditioning asst. with a stong OL background will has us better prepared for the grueling season???

That's an excellent point. Maybe, just maybe, we can get through a season without half the darn roster on IR!

I'm happy he's on the staff, and maybe, as some of the others have pointed out, he's an up and commer just getting his foot in the door.

It's ironic how so many posters bash the media for slanted journalism when the reporter bashes the Browns, but no one is mentioning the facts that are left out of this piece. I guess it just slipped his mind that Houston gave up 68 sacks that year and that Marshall was out of football last year.

I understand why the article was written the way it was. It's the posters who are ignoring the lack of a full story who amuse me.
